However, if water is to be discharged through the drain pipe 1, this can occur via the cone-shaped section of the flat tube 7 in the flat tube 7 and to the extent expand the walls of the flat tube 7 that the water runs through the flat tube 7 without congestion. Contaminants carried in the water can also pass through the hose 7 . After all the water drain, the walls of the flat tube 7 put together again (FIG. 3), so that the odor seal is restored. The formation of a siphon is not necessary, in particular Fig. 2 shows that the overall height of the odor trap according to the invention is very low, so that it is particularly suitable for a drain pipe 1 of a shower tray 14 shown in Fig. 2.

Claims

1. odor trap for a drain pipe, in particular for the drain pipe of a sink, a shower tray or the like, characterized by an at least partially elastic, the cross section of the drain pipe ( 1 ) in the drain direction to the closure narrowing closing element.

2. The odor trap according to claim 1, characterized in that the closing element has a plate tube ( 7 ) which is conically narrowing in sections.

3. Odor trap according to claim 2, characterized in that the width of the plate hose ( 7 ) is approximately equal to the inner diameter of the drain pipe ( 1 ).

4. Odor trap according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the closing element has a connection piece ( 8 ), over the free end of which the plate hose ( 7 ) is fitted to rest on the outside of the connection piece ( 8 ).

5. Odor trap according to claim 4, characterized in that the outer diameter of the nozzle ( 8 ) is slightly less than the inner diameter of the drain pipe ( 1 ).

6. Odor trap according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the connecting piece ( 8 ) at the free end over which the plate hose ( 7 ) is not drawn has a circumferential radial projection ( 9 ).

7. odor trap according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the plate hose ( 7 ) is made of silicone.

8. Odor trap according to one of claims 2 to 7, characterized in that the plate hose ( 7 ) has a length of about 15 to 20 cm.
