Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Verbesserung der Sichtverhältnisse in einem Kraftfahrzeug, mit einer Strahlungsquelle für infrarote Strahlung zur Bestrahlung der Umgebung des Fahrzeuges, mit einer infrarotempfindlichen Kamera zur Erfassung zumindest eines Teils der bestrahlten Umgebung, mit einer Displayeinheit zur Darstellung erfasster Bilddaten und mit einer Steuereinheit zur Steuerung der Vorrichtung. Weiterhin ist eine Bildauswerteeinheit vorgesehen, welche mit der Kamera und der Steuereinheit verbunden ist und welche die erfassten Bilddaten auf die empfohlene Maximalgeschwindigkeit v¶max¶ auswertet. Ein Geschwindigkeitssensor ist vorgesehen, welcher mit der Steuereinheit so verbunden ist, dass die Steuereinheit ein Ausschalten des Displays beim Überschreiten der Fahrzeuggeschwindigkeit v über die Maximalgeschwindigkeit v¶max¶ bewirkt. DOLLAR A Diese Vorrichtung gewährleistet einen sehr sicheren Betrieb des Fahrzeuges mit der Vorrichtung für den Benutzer.
