Abstract

Είναι γνωστό, ότι στις εγκαταστάσεις αιολικής ενέργειας προβλέπεται τροφοδοσία ρεύματος έκτακτης ανάγκης για ορισμένα τμήματα μέσω συσσωρευτών και συγκεκριμένα συσσωρευτών μολύβδου, έτσι ώστε σε περίπτωση διακοπής του ρεύματος να μπορεί η εγκατάσταση αιολικής ενέργειας να παίρνει θέση τέτοια, ώστε να αποφεύγονται οι βλάβες στην εγκατάσταση αιολικής ενέργειας. Ωστόσο, το μειονέκτημα των συσσωρευτών μολύβδου έγκειται στο γεγονός, ότι αυτοί είναι σχετικά βαρείς, χρειάζονται πάρα πολύ χώρο και ότι οι συσσωρευτές μολύβδου δεν μπορούν να φορτίζονται και να εκφορτίζονται επ'αόριστον. Επίσης, οι ιδιότητες φόρτισης και εκφόρτισης των συσσωρευτών μολύβδου υποβαθμίζονται με την πάροδο του χρόνου και επί πλέον οι συσσωρευτές απαιτούν σχετικά δαπανηρή συντήρηση, οπότε αυξάνουν το κόστος μιάς εγκατάστασης αιολικής ενέργειας ή της λειτουργίας αυτής. Το θέμα της εφεύρεσης είναι να αποφύγει τα προαναφερθέντα μειονεκτήματα με τη χρήση ενός πυκνωτή ως αποθηκευτική συσκευή για την ηλεκτρική ενέργεια αντί ενός συσσωρευτή σε μία εγκατάσταση αιολικής ενέργειας.
