Abstract

Description
本发明涉及一种填料组合物,该组合物包括含有羟基的聚丙烯酸酯,多异氰酸酯和颜料。
填料组合物可由DE-A-3546594和GB2186287中获知。两篇文献均公开了包括含有羟基的聚丙烯酸酯和多异氰酸酯的填料组合物。这些填料组合物在固化时太软,从而导致中度的打磨性(moderatesandability)。
本发明提供一种填料组合物,它包括A) 至少一种含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯,包括
40-70wt.%芳族乙烯基单体和/或甲基丙烯酸甲酯,
25-40wt.%羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,
0-20wt.%在烷基中具有至少2个碳原子的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,和
0.5-2.5wt.%的(甲基)丙烯酸,

本发明提供一种填料组合物,它能很好地平衡适用期和干燥/打磨性能,成形与干燥时间,以及粘度与流动性。填料可用在打磨和非打磨应用上,其可用各种多异氰酸酯固化并用常规的面涂层覆盖。填料可在宽的温度和湿度范围内使用。诸如打磨性,与基底的粘合性等性能以及面涂层,适用期,耐腐蚀性,耐水性,瓷漆不下渗性,硬度和罐内稳定性均与商用填料相同或有提高。
含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯可由芳族乙烯基化合物,甲基丙烯酸甲酯,羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,在烷基中具有至少2个碳原子的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体和(甲基)丙烯酸制备。芳族乙烯基化合物的例子包括苯乙烯和其衍生物,例如乙烯基甲苯和其混合物。羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体优选在烷基部分上具有2~4个碳原子。羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体的例子包括(甲基)丙烯酸羟乙基酯,(甲基)丙烯酸羟丙基酯,(甲基)丙烯酸羟丁基酯和其混合物。(甲基)丙烯酸类单体优选在烷基部分中具有2~6个碳原子。(甲基)丙烯酸类单体的例子包括(甲基)丙烯酸乙酯,(甲基)丙烯酸丙酯,(甲基)丙烯酸丁酯和其混合物。术语(甲基)丙烯酸酯和(甲基)丙烯酸分别指的是甲基丙烯酸酯和丙烯酸酯以及甲基丙烯酸和丙烯酸。含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯是按常规方法制备的,例如,将适当的单体缓慢加到适当聚合引发剂例如偶氮或过氧引发剂的溶液中制备。
优选含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯包括:
47-53wt.%芳族乙烯基单体,例如苯乙烯和/或甲基丙烯酸甲酯,
28-33wt.%的羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,例如(甲基)丙烯酸羟乙酯,
14-19wt.%的在烷基中具有至少2个碳原子的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,例如丙烯酸丁酯,和
0.5-2wt.%的(甲基)丙烯酸。
含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯的羟值在100~160mg KOH/g固体树脂之间,优选在110~130mg KOH/g固体树脂之间。含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯的酸值在5~20mg KOH/g固体树脂之间。聚合物的重均分子(量Mw)高于15000,优选在15000~30000之间,它是以聚苯乙烯为标准由凝胶渗透色谱法测量的。玻璃化转变温度(Tg)在25~100℃之间,优选在40~60℃之间,它是由文献(Fox公式,参见,例如Batzer,PolymericMaterial,1935,p.307)中引用的各单体的均聚物的玻璃化转变温度计算的。
多异氰酸酯化合物是一种可与羟基反应的交联剂。多异氰酸酯是一种每分子含有两个或多个异氰酸酯基团的化合物,这在填料领域中是众所周知的。合适的多异氰酸酯有脂族多异氰酸酯,例如三亚甲基二异氰酸酯,1,2-亚丙基二异氰酸酯,四亚甲基二异氰酸酯,2,3-亚丁基二异氰酸酯,六亚甲基二异氰酸酯,八亚甲基二异氰酸酯,4-异氰酸基甲基-1,8-辛烷二异氰酸酯,2,2,4-三甲基六亚甲基二异氰酸酯,2,4,4-三甲基六亚甲基二异氰酸酯,十二亚甲基二异氰酸酯,α,α’-二丙基醚二异氰酸酯和反式亚乙烯基二异氰酸酯;脂环族多异氰酸酯,例如1,3-亚环戊基二异氰酸酯,1,2-亚环己基二异氰酸酯,1,4-亚环己基二异氰酸酯,4-甲基-1,3-亚环己基二异氰酸酯,4,4’-二亚环己基二异氰酸酯甲烷,3,3’-二甲基-4,4’-二亚环己基二异氰酸酯甲烷,降冰片烷二异氰酸酯和异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯;芳族多异氰酸酯例如间-和对-亚苯基二异氰酸酯,1,3-和1,4-双(异氰酸酯甲基)苯,1,5-二甲基-2,4-双(异氰酸酯甲基)苯,1,3,5-三异氰酸酯苯,2,4-和2,6-甲苯二异氰酸酯,2,4,6-甲苯三异氰酸酯,α,α,α’,α’-四甲基邻-,间-,和对-二甲苯二异氰酸酯,4,4’-二亚苯基二异氰酸酯甲烷,4,4’-二亚苯基二异氰酸酯,3,3’-二氯-4,4’-二亚苯基二异氰酸酯和萘-1,5-二异氰酸酯;以及前述多异氰酸酯的混合物。
另外,这种化合物可以是多异氰酸酯的加合物,例如缩二脲,异氰脲酸酯,脲基甲酸酯,脲二酮(uretdiones),多异氰酸酯的预聚物和其混合物。这种加合物的例子有两分子六亚甲基二异氰酸酯或异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯与二醇如乙二醇的加合物,3分子的六亚甲基二异氰酸酯与1分子水的加合物,1分子的三羟甲基丙烷与3分子的异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的加合物,3摩尔的间-α,α,α’,α’-四甲基二甲苯二异氰酸酯与1摩尔的三羟甲基丙烷的反应产物,1分子季戊四醇与4分子的甲苯二异氰酸酯的加合物,六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯(得自于Bayer,其商品名为DesmodurN3390和DesmodurN3600),六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的脲二酮(得自于Bayer,其商品名为DesmodurN3400),六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的脲基甲酸酯(得自于Bayer,其商品名为DesmodurLS2101),3摩尔甲苯二异氰酸酯与1摩尔三羟甲基丙烷的加合物(得自于Bayer,其商品名为DesmodurL),异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯(得自于Hüls,其商品名为VestanatT1890)。而且,异氰酸酯官能单体例如α,α’-二甲基-间-异丙烯基苄基异氰酸酯的(共)聚合物适于使用。最后,上述异氰酸酯和其加合物可以嵌段异氰酸酯的形式存在,这对于本领域的技术人员来说是已知的。
优选六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯,六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的缩二脲,异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯,六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的缩二脲与异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯的混合物,以及六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯与异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯的混合物。
多异氰酸酯化合物的使用量要满足异氰酸酯基团与填料组合物中的羟基总数之比在0.5~2的范围内的,优选在0.75~1.25的范围内。
在本发明的填料组合物中可存在有颜料。所用颜料可以是现有技术中常用的各种类型,它包括(但不限于此)二氧化钛,石墨,炭黑,氧化锌,硫化钙,氧化铬,硫化锌,铬酸锌,铬酸锶,铬酸钡,铬酸铅,氰氨化铅,硅铬酸铅,黄色的镍钛,黄色的铬钛,红色的氧化铁,黄色的氧化铁,黑色的氧化铁,萘酚红和褐,蒽醌,二噁嗪紫,异吲哚啉黄,芳基黄和橙,群青蓝,酞菁配合物,苋菜红,喹吖二酮,卤化的硫靛蓝颜料,增量颜料例如硅酸镁,硅酸铝,硅酸钙,碳酸钙,热解法二氧化硅,硫酸钡和磷酸锌,和其混合物。优选硅酸镁,硅酸铝,硫酸钡,碳酸钙,二氧化钛,磷酸锌,优选为微粉化的,并且可使用其混合物。在填料组合物中颜料的体积浓度在40~80%的范围内,优选在40~60%的范围内(以固体计)。
填料组合物还可以包括用于异氰酸酯-羟基反应的催化剂,例如二月桂酸二丁锡,二月桂酸二甲锡,二月桂酸二辛锡,二氮杂二环辛烷(DABCO),辛酸锆,三乙基胺和其混合物。优选使用二月桂酸二丁锡和辛酸锆的混合物。催化剂的使用量以固体树脂计为0.001~5wt.%,优选0.1~2.5wt.%。二月桂酸二丁锡和辛酸锆的混合比为1∶5-100,优选为1∶15-75。
组合物可进一步包括传统的聚合物,例如聚酯树脂,环氧树脂,任选地羟基官能化物和其混合物。还可以包括助粘剂例如氨基、巯基和环氧基硅烷,以及弹性促进剂例如Elast-o-Actiftm,来自Akzo NobelCoatings BV,荷兰。
优选硝基纤维素可加到填料组合物中以加强成形。硝基纤维素基于填料组合物的使用量为0.01~5wt.%。
组合物中可进一步包括传统的添加剂,例如稳定剂,表面活性剂,紫外线吸收剂,催化剂阻滞剂,抗氧化剂,颜料分散剂,流动添加剂,流变控制剂,流平剂和溶剂。溶剂可以是本领域中已知的任何溶剂,即脂族和/或芳族烃。其例子包括Solvesso100,甲苯,二甲苯,丁醇,异丙醇,乙酸丁酯,乙酸乙酯,乙酸甲氧基丙基酯,丙酮,乙酰丙酮,甲基异丁基酮,甲基异戊基酮,甲乙酮,甲氧基丙醛,双丙酮醇,乙酸丁二醇酯,丙酸乙基乙氧基酯,四氢化萘和其混合物。
优选填料组合物包括小于600g/l的挥发性有机溶剂,以组合物的总量计,更优选小于550g/l,最优选小于525g/l,它们是根据ISO 11890测量的。
将填料组合物配制成1-,2-或3-组分体系,这取决于游离的异氰酸酯基团或嵌段的异氰酸酯基团的选择以及体系中催化剂的存在。
本发明的填料组合物用于制备涂覆基底。这些基底包括木材,塑料和金属。基底可以在施用填料组合物之前用底漆进行预涂覆。填料组合物尤其可用在再涂饰工业上,特别是用在修理汽车时的车身修理上。填料组合物还可应用在汽车工业上用以对大型运输车辆例如火车和汽车进行涂饰,并且它还可用在飞机上。可使用常规的喷涂装置或高容量低压喷涂装置来施用填料组合物,从而可获得高品质的涂饰质量。其它的施用方式有辊涂,刷涂,喷洒,流涂,浸渍,静电喷涂或电泳,优选的是喷涂。可例举的金属基底包括钢,镀锌钢,铝,铜,锌,镁和其合金。固化温度优选在0~80℃之间,更优选在20~60℃之间。固化还可在IR光下进行。
本发明填料组合物的另一优点是:它们可提供25~250μ的层而不会存在任何问题。上述厚度指的是干膜厚度。这些层的厚度可在不出现垂挂和起泡的情况下获得。
本发明进一步通过下面的实施例进行说明。
实施例
除非另有说明,均使用下面的方法。
根据DIN 53221-1987(DinC 4),在DIN流动杯4号中测量粘度。粘度是以秒为单位给出的。
适用期是指所有成分从开始混合至粘度增加到初始粘度的2倍时的时间。
填料组合物的VOC是根据ISO 11890测量的。
除了用实施例中所示处理的钢板替代玻璃板外,Persoz硬度是根据ISO 1522-1973测量的。
粘合性是根据ISO 2409测量的。粘合性是以从0(=没有分离)~5(=全部分离)的标准目测确定的。
弹性是根据ISO 1520(Erichsen)和ASTM D2974(冲击)测量的。
石片阻力(stone chip resistance)是根据Ford BI 157-04测量的。板是以从0(=好)~7(=差)的标准目测评估的。第一次试验是在未处理的板上进行的。第二次试验是根据ASTM D870在水中经过72小时的浸泡后,在该板的相同位置处进行的。
耐水性是根据ASTM D4585(冷凝试验QTC40℃)测量的。
耐腐蚀性是根据ASTM B117(盐喷涂试验)测量的。
使用下面的化合物:
含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯A具有下述单体组成:53wt.%苯乙烯,28wt.%甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯,18wt.%丙烯酸丁酯和1wt.%丙烯酸。Mw=21,000(以聚苯乙烯为标准的GPC);羟值=120mg KOH/g固体树脂,酸值=8mg KOH/g固体树脂,Tg=47℃,在二甲苯中的固含量=52wt.%。
根据DE3546594和GB2186281所公开的共聚物1制备的含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯B具有下述单体组成:30wt.%苯乙烯,18.4wt.%甲基丙烯酸甲酯,30wt.%甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯,20.3wt.%丙烯酸丁酯和1.3wt.%丙烯酸。Mw=6750(以聚苯乙烯为标准的GPC);羟值=120mg KOH/g固体树脂,固含量为71wt.%。
含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯C具有下述单体组成:30wt.%苯乙烯,18.4wt.%甲基丙烯酸甲酯,30wt.%甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯,20.3wt.%丙烯酸丁酯和1.3wt.%丙烯酸。Mw=33400(以聚苯乙烯为标准的GPC);羟值=120mg KOH/g固体树脂,固含量为62wt.%。
根据DE3546594和GB2186281所公开的共聚物7制备的含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯D具有下述单体组成:50.5wt.%苯乙烯,17.6wt.%甲基丙烯酸甲酯,15wt.%丙烯酸羟乙酯,15.2wt.%的丙烯酸2-乙基己基酯和1.8wt.%丙烯酸。Mw=28900(以聚苯乙烯为标准的GPC);羟值=80mgKOH/g固体树脂,固含量为51wt.%。
DBTL为二月桂酸二丁锡,在二甲苯中含量为1wt.%。
Durham锆18是一种在Exxsol D60中为63wt.%的辛酸锆。
NCO-X:六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯,
NCO-Y:六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的缩二脲与异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯的4∶1重量混合物。
NCO-Z:六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯与异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯的5∶1重量混合物。
实施例 1~24
除了多异氰酸酯和DBTL外,填料组合物由下面的化合物制备:
27.6g 含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯A
14.8g 氧化钛
10g 微粉化的磷酸锌
10g 碳酸钙
21.8g 硅酸铝
14g 乙酸丁酯和乙酸甲氧基丙基酯
1.25g 常规的添加剂
0.5g Durham锆18

基底:
钢:用M600去污剂(可商购于Akzo Nobel Coatings BV,荷兰)对钢板除油污并用具有P180的机器磨光。
铝:用M600去污剂对铝板除油污并用红色的Scotch Brite padtype A磨损。
镀锌钢:用M600去污剂给镀锌钢板除油污并用红色的ScotchBrite pad type A磨损。然后再用M600对该板进行除油污。
预涂层:
在施用填料前,用Washprimer CR(来自Akzo Nobel Coatings BV,荷兰)处理该板。
面涂层:
B/C=Base/Clear:
Autobase(可商购自Akzo Nobel coatings)
Autoclear MS 2000(可商购自Akzo Nobel Coatings)
固体颜料
AC:Autocryl(可商购自Akzo Nobel coatings)
AC+:Autocryl Plus(可商购自Akzo Nobel coatings)
AC LV:Autocryl LV 480(可商购自Akzo Nobel coatings)
打磨填料
用打磨填料喷涂预涂覆的基底并在室温下干燥1天。然后用P500打磨涂覆的基底并用不同的面涂层进行涂覆。填料干燥层的厚度为70~100μ。
可在室温下干燥3小时,在60℃下干燥30分钟,在10℃下干燥16小时或在IR光下干燥15分钟后进行打磨。因此,干燥时间对打磨填料是非常有益的。
非打磨填料
用非打磨填料喷涂经预涂覆的基底并用不同的面涂层直接进行涂覆(湿碰湿)。估计填料干燥层的厚度为35~50μ。
打磨和非打磨填料两者的适用期为60~120分钟。在适用期和干燥/打磨性能之间以及成形与干燥时间之间具有优异的平衡性。流动性能是极佳的,尤其是对于打磨填料,可导致较少的掺砂。磁漆不下渗性是良好的。
体系性能的结果列于下面的表2和3中。

实施例25和比较例A和B制备下面的填料组合物:27.6g 含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯C(通过加入乙酸丁酯而使固含
量达到51%)14.8g 二氧化钛10g 微粉化的磷酸锌 10g 碳酸钙21.8g 硅酸铝14g 酸丁酯和乙酸甲氧基丙基酯1.25g 常规的添加剂0.5g Durham锆180.5g DBTL
加入NCO-X以获得NCO∶OH之比为1。将填料组合物施用在钢板上。在室温下干燥3小时后测定打磨性能和耐MEK性。除了在固含量为51wt.%的情况下用含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯B或D替代含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯C外,重复该实验。实验结果列于表4中。

打磨性:以打磨纸堵塞,即在打磨纸上粘有形成的硬磨损块为判断标准。
耐MEK性:将浸有甲乙酮的一块棉绒放在涂层上1分钟;在除去棉绒后,用手指甲判断硬度。
硬度:用手指甲判断
由表4的结果可见,本发明的填料组合物可提供比现有技术的填料组合物更好的结果。
Claims (9)
1.填料组合物,包括
A)至少一种含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯,包括
40-70wt.%芳族乙烯基单体和/或甲基丙烯酸甲酯,
25-40wt.%羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,
0-20wt.%在烷基中具有至少2个碳原子的(甲基)丙烯酸类单
体,和
0.5-2.5wt.%的(甲基)丙烯酸,
其中含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯具有羟值为100~160mg KOH/g固体树脂,酸值为5~20 mg KOH/g固体树脂,Mw高于15000和Tg为25~100℃。
B)至少一种多异氰酸酯化合物,和
C)至少一种颜料,
该填料组合物中颜料的体积浓度以固体计为40~80%。
2.根据权利要求1的填料组合物,包括
47-53wt.%芳族乙烯基单体和/或甲基丙烯酸甲酯,
28-33wt.%的羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸类单体,
14-19wt.%的在烷基中具有至少2个碳原子的(甲基)丙烯酸
类单体,和
0.5-2wt.%的(甲基)丙烯酸。
3.根据前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物,其特征在于含羟基的聚丙烯酸酯的羟值为110~130mg KOH/g固体树脂,Mw为15000~30000,Tg为40~60℃。
4.根据前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物,其特征在于多异氰酸酯选自六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯,六亚甲基二异氰酸酯的缩二脲,异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯和其混合物。
5.根据前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物,其特征在于多异氰酸酯化合物的使用量要满足异氰酸酯基团与填料组合物中的羟基总数之比在0.75~1.25的范围内。
6.根据前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物,其特征在于颜料选自硅酸镁,硅酸铝,硫酸钡,碳酸钙,二氧化钛,磷酸锌和其混合物。
7.根据前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物,其特征在于填料组合物还可包括用于异氰酸酯-羟基反应的催化剂,其选自二月桂酸二丁锡,辛酸锆和其混合物。
8.根据前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物,其特征在于填料组合物包括40~60%以固体计的颜料体积浓度。
9.前述权利要求任一项的填料组合物可用于大型车辆的(再)涂饰和汽车的再涂饰。
