Abstract
本发明公开了含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液及其制备方法与应用;以质量百分比计,该杂化乳液的原料组分组成为:阴离子乳化剂0.1‐1.0%,非离子乳化剂0.2‐2.0%,NaHCO30.1‐0.3%,引发剂0.1‐0.5%;硬单体20‐35%;软单体2‐10%;含羟基功能性单体1‐4%;硅溶胶25‑40%;其余为去离子水;本发明采用半连续种子乳液聚合工艺,合成含硅溶胶和羟基的丙烯酸酯‐苯乙烯共聚物乳液,制备高性能PSE/SiO2杂化乳液。本发明制备的PSE/SiO2杂化乳液液具有贮存稳定性好,涂膜含硅量高、硬度高、涂膜表面平整、热稳定性好和耐化学品优异的特点。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种杂化乳液,特别是涉及一种含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液及其制备方法。本发明还涉及含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液在水性木器涂料中的应用。
背景技术
苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液(简称苯丙乳液)具有良好的抗污性、生产成本低和性价比较高的优点,在胶粘剂、造纸施胶剂及涂料等领域应用广泛。但其胶膜存在耐水性差和“热粘冷脆”等缺陷,限制了其应用。有机-无机杂化改性是弥补聚合物缺陷的有效方法之一,而Sol-Gel法与共混法是制备有机/无机杂化材料常用的方法。其中Sol-Gel法的有机相和无机相间可通过含有双键的硅烷偶联剂“架桥”形成共价键,保证无机颗粒在有机组分中的均匀分散等优点,但是无机组分主要来自前驱体的水解、缩合,含量较低,杂合涂膜性能有待提高;共混法中无机组分与有机组分两相间物理或者化学作用不够,无机纳米粒子在聚合物乳液中易团聚,在成膜过程中容易出现相分离导致膜的透明度下降;如果能够改善两相间的相互作用力,保证纳米粒子的分散稳定性,将大大提高杂化体系的性能。
中国专利CN103059188A报道了一种含二氧化硅的复合苯丙乳液的制备方法,采用原位溶胶凝胶法制得在单体中分散均匀、粒子形态和粒径可控的纳米SiO2粒子,然后采用复配型乳化剂制得苯丙预乳液,制备含SiO2粒子的种子乳液,最后采用种子乳液聚合方法制备复合苯丙聚合物乳液。该方法可避免在传统的无机/有机复合乳液中,无机纳米粒子易于团聚,与聚合物相容性差,聚合物乳液不稳定,聚合过程中容易出现乳胶束的定向凝聚、产生残渣的问题,有效地保证了二氧化硅在聚合物乳液中均匀稳定的分散。但其涂膜在无机硅含量、硬度、耐水/耐化学介质性等方面仍存在不足。目前,有机/无机杂化乳液普遍存在以下问题:(1)无机粒子易团聚,粒子在聚合物中分布不均;(2)固含量低;(3)粒子表面改性过程复杂,改性后再分散困难。
发明内容
本发明针对当前苯丙乳液/SiO2杂合材料中存在的问题,提供了一种提高了无机组分在杂化体系中含量,改善了纳米粒子在杂化乳液和涂膜中的分散性和乳液的贮存稳定性及增强有机和无机两相间相容性的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液及其制备方法。
本发明另一目的在于提供所述含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液在水性木器涂料中的应用。
本发明利用聚合物链上的‐OH基团与硅溶胶表面的Si‐OH基团形成分子间氢键作用使无机硅溶胶颗粒在杂化体系分散稳定;在成膜过程中,硅溶胶表面的Si‐OH与聚合物链上的‐OH 发生溶胶‐凝胶反应,形成Si‐O‐Si交联键并均匀嵌入到苯丙组分,从而提高涂膜的耐化学品性能和硬度。
本发明目的通过如下技术方案实现:
一种含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,以质量百分比计,其原料组分组成为:阴离子乳化剂0.1‐1.0%,非离子乳化剂0.2‐2.0%,NaHCO30.1‐0.3%,引发剂0.1‐0.5%;硬单体20‐35%;软单体2‐10%;含羟基功能性单体1‐4%;硅溶胶25-40%;其余为去离子水;
所述硬单体为苯乙烯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸丁酯和甲基丙烯酸异冰片酯中的一种或多种;
软单体为丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、甲基丙烯酸缩水甘油酯和甲基丙烯酸乙酰乙酰氧基乙酯中的一种或两种以上混合物;
所述含羟基功能性单体为甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯(HEMA)、丙烯酸羟乙酯、丙烯酸羟丙酯和甲基丙烯酸羟丙酯中的一种或两种以上混合物;
所述引发剂为过硫酸钾和过硫酸铵中的一种或两种混合物;
制备时,加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升温至75-85℃,然后加入引发剂的质量的10-30%,保温10-30min后开始滴加单体质量的8-15%,制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定20-30min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至80-85℃,保温0.5-1.5h后,降温过滤出料,所述单体为硬单体、软单体和含羟基功能性单体;
所述阴离子乳化剂为十二烷基硫酸钠(SDS)、十二烷基苯二苯醚二磺酸钠(DowFax2A‐1)、2‐丙烯酰胺基‐2‐甲基丙磺酸钠(COPS‐2)、脂肪醇聚氧乙烯醚硫酸铵(KL‐525)中的一种或多种;
所述非离子乳化剂为壬基酚聚乙氧基醚(OP‐10)、失水山梨醇单油酸酯(Span80)、聚氧化乙烯(20)失水山梨醇单硬脂酸酯(Tween60)和烯丙氧基羟丙烷基磺酸钠(SAHS) 一种或两种以上混合物。
为进一步实现本发明目的,优选地,以质量百分比计,原料中,所述阴离子乳化剂的用量为0.5‐0.8%。
优选地,以质量百分比计,原料中,所述非离子乳化剂的用量为0.5‐1.5%。
优选地,以质量百分比计,原料中,所述单体的用量为30-40%。
优选地,所述降温过滤出料的降温为将至常温。
优选地,所述加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水是加入在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的容器中。
一种含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液由上述的方法制备。
所述含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液在配制水性木器涂料中的应用。
本发明采用半连续种子乳液聚合成PSE/SiO2杂化乳液,带羟基的功能性单体与苯乙烯、丙烯酸酯等其他单体反应,得到了表面带有羟基的聚合物,能与硅溶胶上的硅羟基通过氢键作用,本发明克服了因为引力作用而发生的粒子团聚现象,保证无机粒子在杂化体系中的均匀分散,杂合乳液具有良好的贮存稳定性。本发明无机颗粒引入到苯丙涂膜中,提高了涂膜的硬度和热稳定性;而在成膜过程中,聚合物链上的羟基基团与硅溶胶表面的硅羟基发生凝胶反应,形成硅-氧-硅交联键均匀嵌入苯丙组分里面,刚性粒子抑制了有机物的分子链的运动,也提高了涂膜的热稳定性。
本发明的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液和涂膜相比现有技术具有以下优点:
(1)带羟基的功能性单体的引入有助于硅溶胶分散,提高杂合体系的贮存稳定性;成膜过程中聚合物表面的羟基与硅溶胶的硅羟基发生溶胶-凝胶反应生成硅-聚合物交联体,提高无机相遇有机相间相容性,改善了涂膜的透明度;
(2)成膜过程中发生Sol‐Gel反应,形成硅-氧-硅交联网络提高涂膜的耐水、耐乙醇和热稳定性;无机颗粒的引入,提高了涂膜硬度。
(3)本发明使用含羟基的丙烯酸酯单体,通过与硅溶胶表面的羟基形成氢键,避免无机硅溶胶的团聚,可添加高含量的无机硅溶胶制备的有机-无机杂合体系,杂合涂膜具有好的耐候性、抗污性,生产成本低,性价比较高。

具体实施方式
为更好地理解本发明,下面结合附图和实施例对本发明作进一步的说明,但本发明的实施方式不仅限于此。
本发明制备的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液用如下方法进行表征:乳液的粒径和分布采用纳米粒度分析仪(ZS Nano S)测定;乳液和涂膜结构用Spectrum 2000傅立叶红外光谱仪表征;乳胶粒的微观形态用透射电镜(TEM)观察;采用试验机厂的QBY摆杆式漆膜硬度计,根据GB/T1730‐93测试涂膜硬度。利用在索氏(soxhlet)抽提器中用四氢呋喃(THF)连续抽提24h后测得干燥涂膜质量的方法,可计算得到交联度;涂膜耐介质性能的测试是测定涂膜的吸水率(WA/%)和吸乙醇率(WE/%)以及其在水中的失重率(WX/%)和乙醇中的失重率(WY/%);采用NETZSCH STA 499C热重分析仪测定涂膜中无机组分的含量。
实施例1
制备含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液:
配方:

制备方法:在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的四口烧瓶中加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升至70℃,然后加入引发剂质量的10%,保温20min后开始滴加单体质量的10%,制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定20min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至82℃保温1h后,降温过滤出料。
乳液性能:乳液平均粒径64nm,粘度:151CP,pH=7.0,固体含量:45.9%。
涂膜性能见表6。
附图1为实施例1中杂合乳液的TEM图,附图1说明制备的乳胶粒呈规则的球型,平均粒径约为60‐70nm,大部分无机颗粒均匀分散在乳胶粒周围,还有少数吸附在乳胶粒表面,没有发现团聚现象,这可能是因为两相之间形成了分子间的氢键作用,破坏了无机粒子间的相互吸引力。
实施例2
制备含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液:

制备方法:在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的四口烧瓶中加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升至75℃,然后加入引发剂质量的1/3,保温20min后开始滴加单体质量的10%,制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定20min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至82℃保温1h后,降温过滤出料。
乳液性能:乳液平均粒径62nm,粘度:155CP,pH=7.0,固体含量:44.8%。

实施例3
制备含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液:
配方:

制备方法:在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的四口烧瓶中加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升至85℃,然后加入引发剂质量的30%,保温30min后开始滴加单体质量的15%,制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定30min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至85℃保温1.5h后,降温过滤出料。
乳液性能:乳液平均粒径63nm,粘度:158CP,pH=7.0,固体含量:54.8%。
涂膜性能见表6;
实施例4
制备含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液:
配方:

制备方法:在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的四口烧瓶中加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升至82℃,然后加入引发剂质量的15%,保温10min后开始滴加单体质量的8%,制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定20min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至80℃保温0.5h后,降温过滤出料。
乳液性能:乳液平均粒径67nm,粘度:167CP,pH=7.0,固体含量:43.8%。

实施例5
制备参比样品聚(苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯)乳液:
配方:

制备方法:在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的四口烧瓶中加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升至75℃,然后加入引发剂的10%,保温10min后开始滴加单体15%的制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定30min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至82℃保温1h后,降温过滤出料。
乳液性能:乳液平均粒径63nm,粘度:213CP,pH=7.0,固体含量:42.5%。
涂膜性能见表6。
表6实施例1-5制备的PSE/SiO2杂化涂膜性能
功能性单体的添加使得聚合物表面引入了‐OH,与硅溶胶上的Si‐OH间的物理、化学作用力,保证了PSE/Si乳液高的无机硅含量和良好的贮存稳定性;由表1b可知,与纯的PSE 涂膜相比,改性后的PSE/Si涂膜的硬度、交联度以及对水/化学介质的耐性都得到很大程度的提高。随着HEMA添加量增加,涂膜的吸水率(WA)和失重率(WX),吸乙醇率(WE) 和失重率(WY)分别呈下降趋势,在HEMA=3.0%时,各参数最低。聚合物链上的‐OH与无机硅溶胶发生了凝胶反应,生成Si‐O‐Si交联键,形成空间网络,所以交联度增加。当 HEMA=3.0%时,交联度上升到58.60%,再增加HEMA,交联度反而会下降。纯苯丙乳液的硬度为0.63,引入无机硅组分后,硬度为0.71,随着HEMA添加量增加到3.0%时,硬度达到0.88,并不再随着HEMA浓度的增加而增加。硅溶胶表面的Si‐OH浓度是一定的,当HEMA 的浓度增加到一定程度的时候,聚合链上的‐OH已经过量,反而会导致涂膜的性能下降。
附图2是PSE/SiO2成膜过程中基团变化的红外谱图。曲线a为实施例2的样品的红外谱图,其HEMA=1%时,红外光谱图中PSE/SiO2涂膜在1208cm‐1出现新的吸收峰,属于Si‐O‐Si 的特征吸收峰,这是由于硅溶胶颗粒在成膜过程中自身发生了凝胶反应,形成Si‐O‐Si交联键。曲线b为实施例1的样品的红外谱图,当聚合物链上含有‐OH基团时,成膜过程中,除了硅溶胶颗粒自身之间发生的凝胶反应之外,聚合物链上的‐OH基团与硅溶胶表面的Si‐OH发生凝胶反应,形成Si‐O‐Si交联键,使原来的特征吸收峰向高波数(1218cm‐1)平移。由于硅的表面能比较低,所以在成膜过程中,凝胶反应与硅颗粒自主向表面迁移同时进行,结果在涂膜的表面形成了Si‐O‐Si交联键,并均匀嵌入苯丙的聚合物中。
附图3是实施例5(曲线a)、实施例2(曲线b)和实施例1(曲线c)的杂化涂膜的热失重曲线。附图3说明PSE涂膜实施例5(曲线a)的分解温度为222℃,当HEMA=1时(曲线b),PSE/SiO2的分解温度上升到235℃;HEMA=3.0%时(曲线c),分解温度达到274℃。500℃时,PSE涂膜的已经分解完全,而PSE/SiO2杂化涂膜的有机物分解完全的600℃左右,无机组分均占21.0%左右。说明无机颗粒引入到苯丙涂膜上,提高了涂膜的热稳定性;而在成膜过程中,形成Si‐O‐Si交联键均匀嵌入苯丙组分里面,刚性粒子抑制了有机物的分子链的运动,从而提高了涂膜的热稳定性。
Claims (8)
1.一种含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,其特征在于,以质量百分比计,其原料组分组成为:阴离子乳化剂0.1‐1.0%,非离子乳化剂0.2‐2.0%,NaHCO30.1‐0.3%,引发剂0.1‐0.5%;硬单体20‐35%;软单体2‐10%;含羟基功能性单体1‐4%;硅溶胶25-40%;其余为去离子水;
所述硬单体为苯乙烯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸丁酯和甲基丙烯酸异冰片酯中的一种或多种;
软单体为丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、甲基丙烯酸缩水甘油酯和甲基丙烯酸乙酰乙酰氧基乙酯中的一种或两种以上混合物;
所述含羟基功能性单体为甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯、丙烯酸羟乙酯、丙烯酸羟丙酯和甲基丙烯酸羟丙酯中的一种或两种以上混合物;
所述引发剂为过硫酸钾和过硫酸铵中的一种或两种混合物;
制备时,加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水,升温至75-85℃,然后加入引发剂的质量的10-30%,保温10-30min后开始滴加单体质量的8-15%,制备种子乳液,待体系呈蓝相后稳定20-30min,继续滴加剩余的单体与引发剂水溶液,单体滴加完后,升温至80-85℃,保温0.5-1.5h后,降温过滤出料,所述单体为硬单体、软单体和含羟基功能性单体;
所述阴离子乳化剂为十二烷基硫酸钠、十二烷基二苯醚二磺酸钠、2‐丙烯酰胺基‐2‐甲基丙磺酸钠和脂肪醇聚氧乙烯醚硫酸铵中的一种或多种;
所述非离子乳化剂为壬基酚聚乙氧基醚、失水山梨醇单油酸酯、聚氧化乙烯失水山梨醇单硬脂酸酯和烯丙氧基羟丙烷基磺酸钠中的一种或两种以上混合物。
2.根据权利要求1所述的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,其特征在于,以质量百分比计,原料中,所述阴离子乳化剂的用量为0.5‐0.8%。
3.根据权利要求1所述的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,其特征在于,以质量百分比计,原料中,所述非离子乳化剂的用量为0.5‐1.5%。
4.根据权利要求1所述的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,其特征在于,以质量百分比计,原料中,所述单体的用量为30-40%。
5.根据权利要求1所述的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,其特征在于,所述降温过滤出料的降温为降至常温。
6.根据权利要求1所述的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液的制备方法,其特征在于,所述加入计量的硅溶胶、乳化剂、NaHCO3和去离子水是加入在装有温度计、冷凝管、搅拌桨和恒压漏斗的容器中。
7.一种含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液,其特征在于其由权利要求1所述的方法制备。
8.权利要求7所述的含羟基的苯丙聚合物/SiO2杂化乳液在配制水性木器涂料中的应用。
