技术领域
本发明涉及图像处理装置、信息管理装置、信息管理系统、以及信息管理方法，具体来说，涉及其中包括图像读取单元、图像存储单元、和打印单元的图像处理装置、以及相关的信息管理装置、信息管理系统、和信息管理方法。
背景技术
近年以来，将打印机、复印机、扫描仪、传真机等设备的功能结合于同一壳体中，实现作为多功能外围设备所公知的图像形成装置。多功能外围设备虽受到存储容量的严格限制，但如通用计算机一样具有中央处理单元(CPU)，通过应用软件的控制来实现上述种种功能。
举例来说，日本特开2005-51308号公报(下面称为“参考文献1”)披露了一种具有文档管理功能的图像形成装置，将使用复印机或扫描仪功能时所读取的图像数据存储于图像形成装置的硬盘驱动器(HDD)。
图像形成装置中存储的图像数据(文档)可以通过网络汇总显示于操作面板或客户端个人计算机(PC)上，可以从图像数据的列表当中选定所需的文档。
但相关技术中，图像形成装置管理的文档只是该图像形成装置所读取的文档。因而，当办公室存在多个分别具有文档管理功能的图像形成装置时，用户不得不访问各图像形成装置来打印所需的文档，这很不方便。
发明内容
本发明的实施例可以解决相关技术的一个或多个问题。
本发明的优选实施例可以提供一种可方便地处理多个图像形成装置中所存储的图像数据的图像形成装置、以及信息管理装置、信息管理系统、和信息管理方法。
根据本发明的第一方面，提供有一种图像形成装置，包括：
读取图像数据的图像读取单元；
存储图像读取单元所读取的图像数据的存储单元；
打印该图像数据的打印单元；以及
图像信息发送单元，通过网络将图像数据中至少是属性信息发送至信息管理装置，所述信息管理装置管理至少是多个图像形成装置所发送的属性信息。
根据本发明的第二方面，提供有一种信息管理装置，通过网络与多个图像形成装置连接，各图像形成装置包括读取图像数据的图像读取单元、存储图像读取单元所读取的图像数据的存储单元、以及打印图像数据的打印单元，
其中，信息管理装置管理至少是图像数据的属性信息，所述属性信息由图像形成装置发送。
根据本发明可方便地处理多个图像形成装置中分布存储的图像数据。

下面参照附图说明本发明的优选实施例。
第一实施例
图1是说明本发明第一实施例的文档管理系统其配置的框图。
如图1所示，文档管理系统1包括多个多功能外围设备(MFP)10a、10b、10c、和10d、以及综合服务器20，多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d以及综合服务器20彼此通过LAN(局域网)或其他电缆或无线网络连接。
下面在需要的情况下将多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d总称为“多功能外围设备10”。
多功能外围设备10是在同一壳体中包括打印机、复印机、扫描仪、或传真机等设备的多重功能这种图像处理装置。本实施例中，多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d分别包括文档管理器11a、11b、11c、11d。下面在需要的情况下将文档管理器11a、11b、11c、11d总称为“文档管理器11”。
文档管理器11是用于管理多功能外围设备10扫描的图像数据以及该图像数据的属性信息的程序。具体来说，各多功能外围设备10中，通过图像管理器11将多功能外围设备10扫描的图像数据和该图像数据的属性信息存储于硬盘驱动器(HDD)中用于管理。
这里，经过扫描后存储于多功能外围设备10中的图像数据称为“文档”。此外，文档管理器11具有管理多功能外围设备10所扫描的文档的功能以及综合管理综合服务器20中各文档的功能。
图2是说明文档管理器11配置的例子的框图。
如图2所示，文档管理器11包括图像信息发送单元111、信息获取单元112、以及图像数据获取单元113。
图像信息发送单元111将多功能外围设备10所扫描的图像数据的属性信息发送至综合服务器20。
信息获取单元112从综合服务器20获取另一图像形成装置所读取的图像数据其中至少是属性信息。
图像数据获取单元113获取至少是另一多功能外围设备所读取的图像数据。
回到图1，综合服务器20是一通用计算机，包括文档综合管理器21。举例来说，文档综合管理器21是诸如CD-ROM这类记录介质501中安装的程序或通过网络安装于综合服务器20中的程序，由综合服务器20的CPU执行，由此在综合服务器20中实现种种功能。举例来说，综合服务器20提供支持以整合方式对多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、以及10d中分布并管理的文档进行操作的环境。具体来说，综合服务器20存储从多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d发送至综合服务器20的硬盘驱动器(HDD)的图像数据的属性信息以用于管理。

如图3所示，多功能外围设备10的硬件系统包括控制器201、操作面板202、传真控制单元(FCU)203、成像单元121、以及打印单元122。
控制器201包括CPU 211、ASIC 212、NB 221、SB 222、MEM-P 231、MEM-C 232、HDD(硬盘驱动器)233、存储卡插槽234、NIC(网络接口控制器)241、USB装置242、IEEE 1394装置243、以及中心电子模块(Centronics)装置244。

本实施例中，举例来说，实现文档管理器11功能的程序存储于MEM-C 232和存储卡235中，由CPU 211执行以实现多功能外围设备10中的文档管理器11的功能。
下面说明文档管理系统1的运作。
图4是说明本实施例的文档登录进程的流程图。
如图4所示，步骤S101中，当文档管理系统1中任一多功能外围设备10(例如多功能外围设备10a)的成像单元121扫描纸质文档时，文档管理器11a将经过扫描的文档的图像数据和该图像数据的属性信息登录到多功能外围设备10a的硬盘驱动器(HDD)233中建立的数据库。图像数据的属性信息至少包括用于唯一标识该图像数据的文档ID或诸如文档标题这类识别信息，还可包括纸张大小、图像分辨率等信息。处理现存文档时，更新现存文档的图像数据。
步骤S102中，文档管理器11a的图像信息发送单元111将图像数据的属性信息和多功能外围设备10a的识别信息(例如主机名称或IP地址)发送至综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21，从而通知综合服务器20文档登录或更新。但并不将文档的图像数据发送至综合服务器20。
步骤S103中，文档综合管理器21将所接收到的属性信息和多功能外围设备10a的识别信息登录到综合服务器20中未图示的硬盘驱动器(HDD)中建立的数据库。下面将图像数据的属性信息和多功能外围设备10a的识别信息总称为“文档信息”。
每当多功能外围设备10扫描原稿时执行图4所示的文档登录进程，于是在综合服务器20中同步多功能外围设备10中分布存储的文档的文档信息用于管理。换言之，综合服务器20综合管理文档管理系统1中包括的多功能外围设备10中所存储的全部文档的文档信息。
应注意，当删除文档管理器11中存储的文档信息时，多功能外围设备10可将该情况通知综合服务器20，综合服务器20接收到该信息时可以删除文档综合管理器21中登录的相应文档信息。这样，便可随多功能外围设备10中图像数据的添加和删除而添加或删除综合服务器20中的属性信息，结果是多功能外围设备10中存储的图像数据与综合服务器20中管理的属性信息得到合适的同步。
下面说明任一多功能外围设备10中存储的文档的打印操作。
图5是说明本实施例的文档打印进程的流程图。
如图5所示，步骤S151中，用户使用文档管理系统1中的任一多功能外围设备10(例如多功能外围设备10b)，指令对要打印的文档进行选择(需要的情况下称为“目标文档”)。
步骤S152中，文档管理器11b的信息获取单元112获取综合服务器20中管理的全部文档的文档信息。具体来说，信息获取单元112请求综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21发送文档信息。响应该请求，文档综合管理器21发送综合服务器20中所管理的全部文档的文档信息。
步骤S153中，文档管理器11b将所获得的文档信息显示于多功能外围设备11b的操作面板202上。举例来说，文档信息以下面方式显示于操作面板202上。

如图6B所示，屏幕2022显示多功能外围设备10d中各文件夹的概要。如同普通文件系统中的情形，文件夹表示用于将文档分类为文档管理用分级结构的信息。在多功能外围设备10d的操作面板202上显示多功能外围设备10d中各文件夹的概要时，从多功能外围设备10d发送至综合服务器20的图像数据其属性信息包括多功能外围设备10d中图像数据的路径信息。
当用户选择任一文件夹并点击确认(OK)按钮2022a时，显示如图6C所示的屏幕2023。
如图6C所示，屏幕2023显示所选定的文件夹中容纳的各文档的概要作为候选目标文档。当用户选择任一文档并点击确认(OK)按钮2023a时，可确定目标文档。
通过重复从屏幕2021至屏幕2023的操作，用户可以在多个多功能外围设备10上选择目标文档。应注意，图6A至图6C虽图示了通过屏幕2021至屏幕2023的流程缩小目标文档的位置范围以便于目标文档选择的用户界面，但本发明不限于此。举例来说，可以显示全部多功能外围设备10中全部文档的概要。
回到图5，步骤S154中，用户通过操作面板202上显示的图形图像选择目标文档。
步骤S155中，用户点击“开始(START)”键。
步骤S156中，文档管理器11b的图像数据获取单元113将目标文档告知综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21。这里，文档管理器11b的图像数据获取单元113至少将诸如文档ID或文档标题这类目标文档的识别信息、以及其中存储有目标文档的多功能外围设备10诸如其主机名称或IP地址这类识别信息发送至综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21。
接着，步骤S157中，综合服务器20的文档综合服务器21搜索存储有该目标文档的多功能外围设备10。
步骤S158中，判断是否发现多功能外围设备10。当发现多功能外围设备10时，程序进行至步骤S159，否则该例行程序进行至步骤S163。
步骤S159中，综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21从多功能外围设备10获取目标文档的图像数据，并将图像数据送至图像数据获取单元113。
步骤S160中，文档管理器11b指令多功能外围设备10b的打印单元122打印所获取的图像数据。
步骤S161中，判断打印操作是否成功。打印操作成功的话，程序进行至步骤S162，否则该程序进行至步骤S163。
步骤S162中，多功能外围设备10b的操作面板202上显示有打印成功的消息。
步骤S163中，多功能外围设备10b的操作面板202上显示有打印失败的报错消息。
根据本实施例，在文档分布存储于多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d的环境中，可以使用多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d其中一个打印另一多功能外围设备中的文档。
因为文档的实际图像数据并没有送到综合服务器20，因而可以减少文档登录进程的工作量，并消除了对用户的压力。
通过使用多功能外围设备10的安全性功能，可以保持不同多功能外围设备中文档的安全性。具体来说，当多功能外围设备10扫描原稿时，多功能外围设备10可以在图像数据中隐藏数字水印或加密该图像数据。通过将上述安全性功能应用于本实施例中，可以保持文档的安全性。
第二实施例
本实施例文档管理系统其配置基本上与前一实施例相同。下面主要说明的只是不同之处。
图7是说明本实施例文档登录进程的流程图。
图7中对与图4所示情形相同的步骤赋予相同的参照标号，重复说明从略。
如图7所示，步骤S204中，多功能外围设备10的文档管理器11的图像信息发送单元111将图像数据的副本发送至综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21。
具体来说，本实施例中，不仅是属性信息，而且将多功能外围设备10所扫描的文档的图像数据的副本发送至综合服务器20，并且在多功能外围设备10中使属性信息和图像数据同步用于管理。
下面说明任一多功能外围设备10中存储的文档的打印操作。
图8是说明本实施例的文档打印进程的流程图。
图8中对与图5所示情形相同的步骤赋予相同的参照标号，重复说明从略。
如图8所示，图5中的步骤S157至步骤S159由步骤S257至步骤S259替代。
步骤S257中，综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21接收目标文档的识别信息时，根据该识别信息，综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21在综合服务器20的硬盘驱动器(HDD)中建立的数据库当中搜索目标文档。
步骤S258中，判断是否发现目标文档。当发现目标文档时，程序进行至步骤S259，否则程序进行至步骤S163。
步骤S259中，综合服务器20的文档综合管理器21从综合服务器20的硬盘驱动器(HDD)获取目标文档的图像数据，并将图像数据送至请求图像数据的多功能外围设备10(例如多功能外围设备10b)。
这样，便在多功能外围设备10b中打印综合服务器20中存储的目标文档的图像数据。
根据本实施例，与前一实施例相同，在文档分布存储于多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d的环境中，可以使用多功能外围设备10a、10b、10c、和10d其中一个打印另一多功能外围设备中的文档。
具体来说，本实施例中，文档的实际图像数据由综合服务器20管理，并且在打印中使用文档的实际图像数据。因而可以提高打印速度。
此外，因为文档的实际图像数据因此是双重管理的，改进了系统备份，因此即便是其中一个多功能外围设备10出错也可以保护数据，而可以打印出错的多功能外围设备10所扫描的文档。
因为文档的实际图像数据在登录进程中送到综合服务器20，因而登录进程可能需要一些时间。为了解决该问题，举例来说，可以在发送实际图像数据之前进行登录完成提示，而在后台执行实际图像数据的发送。这样，可以避免用户的不适感。
上述实施例中，当选择要打印的文档时，文档存储于打印操作用途的多功能外围设备10中的话，可以省略对文档综合管理器21的查询，而直接打印选定的文档。
上述实施例中，说明的是通过其中任意一个多功能外围设备10的操作面板202进行用户操作。当然，也可以在通过网络与多功能外围设备10连接的客户端个人计算机(PC)上进行用户操作。换言之，图6A至图6C所示的各图可以显示于客户端个人计算机上。
此外，综合服务器20不需要为通用计算机，而文档综合管理器21可以安装于各多功能外围设备10中。
本发明是参照便于图示说明的具体实施例说明的，但显而易见本发明并不限于上述实施例，本领域技术人员可以在不背离本发明基本构思和保护范围的情况下对其进行种种修改。本专利申请基于2006年5月2号提交的在先日本专利申请第2006-128552号，其完整内容通过引用结合于本文中。

Claims (16)

1.一种图像形成装置，其特征在于，包括：
读取图像数据的图像读取单元；
存储图像读取单元所读取的图像数据的存储单元；
打印该图像数据的打印单元；以及
图像信息发送单元，通过网络将存储在所述存储单元中的所述图像数据中至少是属性信息发送至信息管理装置；以及
通知单元，当存储在所述存储单元中的所述图像数据已经被删除时，所述通知单元将所述图像数据的所述删除通知所述信息管理装置；
信息获取单元，从所述信息管理装置获取第二图像形成装置所读取的图像数据的属性信息；
其中，根据所述信息获取单元所获取的属性信息，所述第二图像形成装置所读取的图像数据进一步作为除了图像形成装置所读取的图像数据以外要打印的文档的候选选项来显示。
2.如权利要求1所述的图像形成装置，其特征在于，要打印的文档的候选选项显示于图像形成装置的操作面板上。
3.如权利要求1所述的图像形成装置，其特征在于，进一步包括：
图像数据获取单元，通过网络获取从多个候选选项中选定的图像数据，
其中，该图像数据由图像形成装置的打印单元打印。
4.如权利要求3所述的图像形成装置，其特征在于，所述图像数据获取单元发出将所选定的图像数据发送至所述信息管理装置的请求，并通过所述信息管理装置获取图像数据。
5.如权利要求1所述的图像形成装置，其特征在于，
所述图像信息发送单元进一步将图像数据发送至所述信息管理装置，
所述信息管理装置管理从所述多个图像形成装置发送的图像数据。
6.一种信息管理装置，其特征在于，通过网络与多个图像形成装置连接，各图像形成装置包括读取图像数据的图像读取单元、存储所述图像读取单元所读取的图像数据的存储单元、以及打印图像数据的打印单元，
其中，所述信息管理装置管理至少是图像数据的属性信息，所述属性信息从所述图像形成装置发送；
响应获取当一个图像形成装置显示要打印的文档的候选选项时所用的属性信息的请求，所述信息管理装置发送另一个图像形成装置所读取的图像数据的属性信息；以及
响应接收从所述图像形成装置删除所述图像数据的信息，所述信息管理装置删除所述管理的属性信息。
7.如权利要求6所述的图像管理装置，其特征在于，响应一个图像形成装置所发出的发送所述图像数据的请求，所述信息管理装置从存储所述图像数据的任意图像形成装置获取所述图像数据，将所述图像数据送至请求发送所述图像数据的所述一个图像形成装置。
8.如权利要求6所述的图像管理装置，其特征在于，所述信息管理装置进一步管理从所述多个图像形成装置发送的图像数据。
9.如权利要求8所述的图像管理装置，其特征在于，响应一个图像形成装置所发出的发送所述图像数据的请求，所述信息管理装置将其管理的图像数据送至请求发送所述图像数据的所述一个图像形成装置。
10.一种信息管理系统，其特征在于，包括：
多个图像形成装置，分别包括读取图像数据的图像读取单元、存储图像读取单元所读取的图像数据的存储单元、以及打印图像数据的打印单元；以及
通过网络与图像形成装置连接的信息管理装置，
其中，
所述多个图像形成装置中的每一个进一步包括：
图像信息发送单元，通过网络将存储在所述存储单元中的所述图像数据中至少是属性信息发送至信息管理装置；
通知单元，当存储在所述存储单元中的所述图像数据已经被删除时，所述通知单元将所述图像数据的所述删除通知所述信息管理装置；
信息获取单元，从所述信息管理装置获取第二图像形成装置所读取的图像数据的属性信息；
其中，根据所述信息获取单元所获取的属性信息，所述第二图像形成装置所读取的图像数据进一步作为除了图像形成装置所读取的图像数据以外要打印的文档的候选选项来显示；
其中，
所述信息管理装置管理至少是图像数据的属性信息，所述属性信息从所述图像形成装置发送；
响应获取当一个图像形成装置显示要打印的文档的候选选项时所用的属性信息的请求，所述信息管理装置发送另一个图像形成装置所读取的图像数据的属性信息；以及
响应接收从所述图像形成装置删除所述图像数据的信息，所述信息管理装置删除所述管理的属性信息。
11.如权利要求10所述的信息管理系统，其特征在于，
根据所获取的属性信息，所述另一个图像形成装置所读取的图像数据进一步作为除了所述一个图像形成装置所读取的图像数据以外要打印的文档的候选选项来显示。
12.如权利要求11所述的图像管理系统，其特征在于，
所述一个图像形成装置发出将从多个候选选项中选定的图像数据发送至所述信息管理装置的请求，
所述信息管理装置响应所述请求将图像数据送至所述一个图像形成装置。
13.如权利要求12所述的图像管理系统，其特征在于，
响应发送所述图像数据的请求，信息管理装置从存储所述图像数据的任意图像形成装置获取所述图像数据，将所述图像数据送至请求发送所述图像数据的所述一个图像形成装置。
14.如权利要求10所述的图像管理系统，其特征在于，所述信息管理装置进一步管理从所述多个图像形成装置发送的图像数据。
15.如权利要求14所述的图像管理系统，其特征在于，响应从所述一个图像形成装置发送图像数据的请求，所述信息管理装置将其管理的图像数据送至请求发送所述图像数据的所述一个图像形成装置。
16.一种图像形成装置的信息管理方法，其特征在于，该图像形成装置包括读取图像数据的图像读取单元、存储图像读取单元所读取的图像数据的存储单元、以及打印图像数据的打印单元，所述方法包括下列步骤：
通过网络将存储在所述存储单元中的所述图像数据中至少是属性信息发送至信息管理装置，以及
当存储在所述存储单元中的所述图像数据已经被删除时，将所述图像数据的所述删除通知所述信息管理装置；
从所述信息管理装置获取第二图像形成装置所读取的图像数据的属性信息；
根据所述信息获取单元所获取的属性信息，将所述第二图像形成装置所读取的图像数据作为除了图像形成装置所读取的图像数据以外要打印的文档的候选选项来显示。
