Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a plantas no transgénicas y transgénicas, preferiblemente plantas de cultivo, que comprende una mutación que causa una alteración de la secuencia de aminoácido en el dominio CATD del centrómero histona H3 (CENH3), preferiblemente dentro del bucle1 o la a2-helice del dominio CATD, que tiene la actividad biológica de un inductor haploide. Además, la presente invención proporciona métodos para generar las plantas de la presente invención y plantas haploides y doble haploides obtenibles al cruzar las plantas de la presente invención con plantas de tipo silvestre como también método para facilitar el intercambio de citoplasma.
