Description
BESCHREIBUNGEN An die Randabdichtungen von Isolierglasscheiben, bei denen sich zwischen zwei Gläsern ein Hohlraum mit trokkener Luft oder einem Isolierglas befindet, werden hohe Anforderungen an die Dichtheit gestellt. Es ist bekannt, solche Randabdichtungen aus einem Metallband, mit einer Legierung herzustellen, welche ähnliche Ausdehnungseigenschaften wie Glas besitzt. Solche Metallbänder werden durch ein Schmelzlot mit dem Glas, bzw. einer Kupferschicht, dichtend verschmolzen. Damit das Schmelzlot mit dem Glas eine Verbindung eingehen kann, wird die Glasoberfläche am Glasscheibenrand mit einer dünnen Kupferschicht überzogen. Der Auftrag der dünnen Kupferschicht wird durch das sog. Flammspritzen erreicht. In der Flamme eines Azetylen-Sauerstoffbrenners wird ein Kupferdraht nachgeführt und abgeschmolzen. Die geschmolzenen Kupferteilchen werden durch die heisse Flamme auf die Glasoberfläche gespritzt und verschmelzen mit der Glasoberfläche. Das grosse Problem des Flammspritzens besteht in der Oxydation des flüssigen Kuj > fers in der Gasflamme, die mit Sauerstoff und Azetylengas gespiesen wird. Der geringste Sauerstoffüberschuss in der Gasflamme verursacht eine Oxydation des flüssigen Kupfers, was eine sichere und dichtende Verbindung mit der Glasoberfläche fragwürdig macht. Schlechthaftende Kupferschichten führen zu undichten Glasrandabdichtungen und damit zu aufwendigen Garantiearbeiten. Um dies zu verhindern, wird vorgeschlagen, ein Metallspritzverfahren anzuwenden, welches die Nachteile des Azetylen-Sauerstoff-Flammspritzens nicht mehr aufweist. Besonders für vakuumisoliertes Fensterglas werden sehr hohe Anforderungen an die Dichtheit des Randverbundes gestellt. Das Plasmaauftragverfahren, für die Isolierglasfabrikation noch nie angewandt, kann den gestellten Anforderungen genügen. Eine Oxydation des verflüssigten Metalls ist völlig ausgeschlossen, weil der Metallschmelzprozess in einem Edelgasmedium stattfindet. Daraus resultieren gut reproduzierbare, homogene und oxydfreie Metallschichten auf Glasscheiben. Beim Plasmaverfahren wird das Edelgas, wie z.B. Argon, einem Brenner zugeführt und durchströmt in diesem einen elektrischen Lichtbogen. Das Edelgas wirdionisiert, wobei sich ein Elektron abspaltet und einen grossen Energiestoss erzeugt. Ein zweiter Energiestoss entsteht dadurch, dass das abgespaltete Elektron wieder zurückfällt. Dem jonisierten Gas, welches Temperaturen von ca. 20 ooot erreicht, wird dosiert das Material in Pulverform zugegeben, welches auf die Glasoberfläche aufgetragen werden soll, z.B. Kupfer. Die flüssigen Kupferteilchen werden mit hoher Geschwindigkeit auf die Glasoberfläche geschleudert, und verschmelzen mit dem Glas innerhalb eines Edelgas-Schutzmantels unter Sauerstoffausschluss. Damit auch die Glasoberfläche frei ist von Wasser- und Sauerstoff wird diese vorteilhaft unmittelbar vor dem Aufspritzen der Metallschicht mittelst eines heissen Schutzgasstrahls oder einer Flamme gereinigt, wobei die Flamme auch mit einem Plasma-Brenner erzeugt werden kann. Da die mit dem metallischen Werkstoff z.B. Kupfer beschichtete Glasoberfläche den Zweck hat, das Glas dichtend mit einer metallischen Randabdichtung bei einem Vakuumisolierglasfenster mit einem Schmelzlot zu verbinden, kann vorteilhaft unmittelbar nach dem Kupferauftrag eine Lotschicht ebenfalls mit dem Plasmaverfahren aufgetragen werden.

- PATENTANSPRÜCHE 1. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer mit einem metallischen Werkstoff beschichteten Glasoberfläche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der metallische Werkstoff mittelst dem Plasmaverfahren aufgetragen wird.
- 2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die metallisch beschichtete Glasoberfläche an den Rändern eines Isolierfensterglases dazu dient, das Glas mit einer Metallfoliendichtung zu verlöten.
- 3. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Metallpulver aus Kupfer besteht.
- 4. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass auf die Kupferschicht eine Lötzinnschicht unmittelbar nach der Verkupferung ebenfalls im Plasma-Verfahren aufgetragen wird.
- 5. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Glasoberfläche unmittelbar vor dem Metallauftrag mittelst einem heissen Schutzgasstrahl z.B. Kohlensäure oder einer Flamme von Wasser und Sauerstoff gereinigt wird, wobei diese Flamme auch mit einem Plasmabrenner erzeugt werden kann.
