Abstract
This device comprises a shielded thermocouple arranged in a measurement rod (8). In order in particular to facilitate the alignment of the device for the return movement of the measurement rod after maintenance operations, the assembly formed by the return movement means (25 - 28, 33, 38) and those (18, 19) ensuring the alternating movement of the rod (8) is carried by an orientable fastening device (100). This comprises a plate (101) fixed to the external wall of the furnace and carrying two bearing plates (102) in which a vertical shaft (103) swivels, which shaft is integral with an intermediate plate (104) itself carrying two other bearing plates (105) in which in turn swivels a horizontal shaft (107). The latter is integral with a support plate (108) supporting the said assembly via a rest (29). The orientable device comprises screws (110, 111) allowing it to be locked angularly. <IMAGE>
