Abstract
An apparatus for collecting material, esp. dust, conveyed by an airstream comprises an air line leading into a separation chamber, comprising an air outlet via a flexible filter; equipment automatically interrupts and re-starts the air flow through the separation chamber, while additional equipment connects the separation chamber to a vacuum source while the air flow is interrupted. Esp. used in the textile industry for final purification of air to remove harmful dust and other particles such as small threads. The principle of using a large deformation of the filter, by reversing the pressure applied to it, is utilised for ejecting the dust from the normal upstream side.
