  <B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 242845.         Verfahren        zur        Herstellung        eines        metallisierbaren        Polyazofarbstoffes.       Das vorliegende Patent betrifft ein Ver  fahren zur Herstellung eines braunen     Poly-          azofarbstoffes    und     ist    dadurch gekennzeich  net, dass man 1     Mol        Resorcin,    1     Mol    der       Verbindung,

      erhältlich durch Verseifen und       Diazotieren    des Farbstoffes aus 1     Mol        diazo-          tierter        1-Amino    - 2 -     methogybenzol    -5 -     sulfon-          säure    und 1     Mol        1-Acetamino-2-ogybenzol     und 1     Mol    der aus 1     Mol        tetrazotiertem        4,

  4'-          Diaminobenzanilid    und 1     Mol        Salicylsäure     erhältlichen     Zwischenverbindung        aufeinander     einwirken lässt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  20,3 g     1-Amino-2-methoxy-5=sulfonsäure,     werden wie üblich     diazotiert    und mit     einer'     Lösung von 15,1 g     1-Acetamino-2-ogybenzol;'     13,3 g     30%iger    Natronlauge und Wasser     in"     Gegenwart von Soda gekuppelt. Der     Farb-stoff    wird verseift, mit Salzsäure abgeschie  den und filtriert. Er besitzt     mutmasslich    die  Formel

    Er wird in Wasser und Soda gelöst, mit 7 g       Natriumnitrit    versetzt und mit Salzsäure an  gesäuert.

   Nach Beendigung der     Diazotierung     kuppelt man mit einer Lösung von 11 g       Resorcin    und Wasser     in    Gegenwart von  Soda. Der     Disazofarbstoff    wird durch Zusatz  von Salzsäure abgeschieden und filtriert. Er  wird in Wasser und Soda gelöst und mit der    in üblicher Weise hergestellten     Zwischenver-          bindung    aus 22,7 g     4,4'-Diamiuobenzanilid     und 13,8 g     Salicylsäure    gekuppelt. Der       Tetrakisazofarbstoff    wird in der Wärme mit  Kochsalz abgeschieden,     filtriert    und ge  trocknet.  



  Der neue Farbstoff stellt ein dunkles  Pulver dar, das     Baumwolle    und regenerierte       Cellulose    in     orangebraunen    Tönen färbt.  Beim Nachbehandeln mit     Kupfersulfat    wer  den die Färbungen rotstickig braun und     in     der Wasch-, Licht-, Säure- und     Alkaliecht-          Tieit    erheblich     verbessert.

      obtainable by saponifying and diazotizing the dye from 1 mole of diazo-tated 1-amino-2-methogybenzene -5-sulfonic acid and 1 mole of 1-acetamino-2-ogybenzene and 1 mole of 4 from 1 mole of tetrazotized

  4'-Diaminobenzanilid and 1 mol of salicylic acid available intermediate compound can act on each other.



  <I> Example: </I> 20.3 g of 1-amino-2-methoxy-5 = sulfonic acid are diazotized as usual and treated with a 'solution of 15.1 g of 1-acetamino-2-ogybenzene;' 13.3 g of 30% sodium hydroxide solution and water are coupled in the presence of soda.     It is dissolved in water and soda, mixed with 7 g of sodium nitrite and acidified with hydrochloric acid.

   When the diazotization is complete, coupling is carried out with a solution of 11 g of resorcinol and water in the presence of soda. The disazo dye is deposited by adding hydrochloric acid and filtered. It is dissolved in water and soda and coupled with the intermediate compound prepared in the usual way from 22.7 g of 4,4'-diamiuobenzanilide and 13.8 g of salicylic acid. The tetrakisazo dye is deposited in the warm with common salt, filtered and dried ge.



  The new dye is a dark powder that dyes cotton and regenerated cellulose in orange-brown tones. When aftertreating with copper sulfate who the coloring red-sticky brown and in the washing, light, acid and alkali-fast Tieit significantly improved.

Claims

- PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of a brown @ polyazo dye, characterized in that 1 mole of resorcinol, 1 mole of the compound,

obtainable by saponifying and diazotizing the dye from 1 mole of diazotized 1-amino-2-methogybenzene-5-sulfonic acid and 1 mole of 1-acetamino-2-ogybenzene and 1 mole of that from 1 mole of tetrazotized 4,4'-diamino-benzanilide and 1 mole of salicylic acid allows the intermediate compound obtainable to act on one another.

The new dye is a dark powder that dyes cotton and regenerated cellulose in orange-brown tones. After treatment with copper sulphate, the dyeings are red-tinged brown and the washing, light, acid and alkali fastness is considerably improved.
