Description
Process for the production of profiled metal pieces. Patent No. 147864 has disclosed a method for producing profiled metal pieces, in which the piece to be profiled is passed between a roller and a table which produces the profiling in whole or in part. It has now shown that the use of a table that completely or partially produces the entire profiling is very expensive in many cases, especially when only the distance between the transverse profiles is changed in the work piece or If you. should have different dimensions.
The method according to the invention consists in the fact that the metal piece to be profiled is passed between two rollers and a table with the profiling wholly or partially producing exchangeable A layers movable in the direction of the roller rotation. Here, the same roller table can be used for a wide variety of purposes, since inserts of different dimensions can be inserted into the table part.
The drawing shows an example of a device designed according to claim II of the main patent, suitable for carrying out the present method.
Fig. 1 shows the finished work piece in longitudinal section and Fig. 2 in plan view; Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal section through part of the table with interchangeable inserts in longitudinal section, while Fig. 4 shows this part of the table with the inserts in plan; Figures 5 and 6 show cross-sections through the table with details of the attachment of the inserts.
The work piece cc has transverse profiles 5, c, d, e, f, g, f of the same height. If, for example, it is necessary to produce a similar workpiece that differs from the one shown, for example only in that the ribs are of different heights or in which the ribs c and g should have a different inclination, a new table insert x would have to be made are, if non-exchangeable insoles according to, i, 1e, 1, m, n., o .... < / B> would be provided that allow changes to the workpiece without costly measures, for example, simply by replacing.
The inserts are secured against displacement in the longitudinal direction by wedges, where it may be sufficient to provide a wedge only on one side, which presses the inserts against a stop on the opposite side. The position of this wedge p is secured by cap screws q. The inserts have a dovetail-shaped cross-section (Fig. 5 and 6) to prevent them from going up. With the help of the strips r (Fig. 6), the long sides of the inserts can be pressed firmly onto the base of the table part x, if necessary with the interposition of a flexible pad.
In special cases, for example if the profiles are undercut, it can be advantageous to dispense with a special definition of the deposits, especially against displacement in the transverse direction. You will then remove the workpiece with the correspondingly subdivided A layers from the table insert and detach the insert pieces individually from the workpiece.
