Abstract

La présente invention concerne un matériau substrat de carte intercalaire (23) destiné à des machines de traitement à haute vitesse de documents telles que des processeurs de monnaie. Ce substrat est imprimé avec un réseau de bandes (18) magnétiques espacées latéralement de façon périodique sur une zone de la face de ce substrat. De plus, un ensemble code lisible par machine de blocs (24) clairs et sombres représentent des données sélectionnées et imprimées dans au moins une partie de ce même espace du substrat, lequel est occupé par les bandes magnétiques avec ces blocs clair et sombre recouvrant dans le sens de la largeur ainsi que dans le sens de la longueur des surfaces entre ces bandes. Les entrelacs de ces bandes magnétiques et de ces blocs clairs et sombres permettent un codage de cette carte intercalaire avec des champs de données optiques relativement grands, ce qui permet d'utiliser des capteurs à faible résolution pour détecter les données optiques utilisées et identifier de façon unique chaque carte intercalaire sans brouiller la fonction des bandes magnétiques.
