Abstract

"VIDRO DE PRIVACIDADE AZUL E ARTIGO FEITO DESTE''. A presente invenção provê uma composição de vidro de coloração azul, absorvente de radiações infravermelha e ultravioleta, tendo uma transmitância luminosa de até 60 por cento. O vidro usa uma composição básica de vidro de soda-cal-sílica e adicionalmente ferro ou cobalto, e opcionalmente selênio e/ou titânio, como materiais absorventes de radiações infravermelha e ultravioleta e corantes. O vidro da presente invenção tem uma cor definida por um comprimento de onda dominante na faixa de 480 a 489 nanometros e uma pureza de excitação de pelo menos 8 por cento a uma espessura de 4,06 milímetros. Em uma concretização da invenção, a composição de vidro de um artigo de vidro de coloração azul de soda-cal sílica absorvente de radiações infravermelha e ultravioleta inclui uma porção absorvente de radiação solar e corante consistindo essencialmente de 0,9 a 2,0 por cento em peso total de ferro, 0,15 a 0,65 por cento em peso de FeO, 90 a 250 ppm de CoO, e opcionalmente até 12 ppm de Se e até 0,9% p/p de TiO~ 2~, e preferivelmente 1 a 1,4 por cento em peso de ferro total, 0,20 a 0,5 por cento em peso de FeO, 100 a 150 ppm de CoO, até 8 ppm de Se, e até 0,5% p/p de Ti)~ 2~.
