Abstract
"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA DETERMINAR A LOCALIZAçãO DA POSIçãO USANDO NúMERO REDUZIDO DE SATéLITES GPS E ESTAçõES BASE SINCRONIZADAS E NãO SINCRONIZADAS. São descritos um método e um equipamento para determinar a posição de um dispositivo de comunicação sem fio usando satélites do Sistema de Posicionamento Global (GPS), estações base sincronizadas com o tempo GPS e estação base que não estão sincronizadas com o tempo GPS. As estações base não sincronizadas estão sincronizadas umas com as outras. As informações de tempo de chegada são ajustadas de modo a considerar o fato de que os dispositivos de comunicação sem fio que receberam informações de tempo GPS a partir de uma estação base recebem tais informações distorcidas pelo retardo em um sentido que é encontrado pelo sinal que comunica tais informações ao dispositivo de comunicação sem fio. Além disso, informações sobre a diferença de tempos de chegada para estações base que não estão sincronizadas com o tempo GPS permitem que a distorção entre o tempo GPS de tais estações base seja eliminada.
