Abstract

The method is used in the metallurgical industry, in particular for the production of graded rolled steel and reinforced steel. By the method, the rolls for steel rolling are made of no less than two billets of equilateral skeleton contours interconnected along their widths by means of connections. The end billets are separated by extending the connection to breaking, wherein separated profiles are formed. The final profile of the middle billet in case of an odd number of billets is formed in the moulding profile where all billets, except the middle one, in case of an odd number of billets are formed with lengths of the side of their skeleton contour from 1.01 to 1.15 Cr, and the thickness of the connections along the skeleton contour of the profile are selected from the range of 0.2 to 0.9 Cr, Cr being the side of the skeleton contour of the separated profile. The skeleton contours of all grooves, except the middle one, in case of an odd number of billets are shifted along the axis of the rolls, in the direction of the central axis of the profile, according to the formula and the connection are made in the form of a small bridge with width along the skeleton contour equal to (Kp, - 2) x delta G, hn being the thickness of the connections along the skeleton contour in for forming profile; alpha s the angle between the side of the billet and the longitudinal axis of the roll; Kp is the quantity of the rolled material coming out of the separated profile. In the separating profile the skeleton contours of the end grooves are shifted along the axis of the rolls, in the direction from the centre axis of the profile, or of their position in the forming profile, respectively, by no less than hr being the thickness of the skeleton contour of the finalized profile. In addition, the sides of the skeleton contour of the end grooves are machined with a length not smaller than the side of the separated profile. 2 claims, 3 figures
