Abstract

The foam material (pref. synthetic elastic material, natural rubber) has open or closed cells, and is secured to a thin facing sheet (pref. plastic, paper, Al foil, textile) the outer face of which is coated with either a self-adhesive or water activated adhesive. The packaging material is flexible for packing around an article and is maintained in position by the adhesive surface.
