Abstract

825,867. Draught excluders. KAY BROS. Ltd. Oct. 25, 1957 [Nov. 14, 1956], No. 34757/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 20(3) [Also in Group VIII] Strip material for use as draught excluder comprises a layer of cellular plastics or rubber material, such as foamed polyurethane, polyvinylchloride or latex, coated on one face with a pressure sensitive adhesive containing an alkyd resin or natural or synthetic rubber, and a removable cover layer of crepe paper, regenerated cellulose, polyvinyl chloride or polythene (which latter may be embossed). The cover layer may have a silicone or alginate derivative coating to facilitate stripping. The Specification refers to a known form of draught excluder comprising a plastic strip, a paper or cellulose acetate strip adhesively coated on both sides, and a cover strip of crepe paper or polyvinyl chloride.
