  Verfahren zur D a r s t e l l u n g v o n A z o f a h r b s t o f f e n.

   Beispiele.

In derselben Weise kann man Acetessigandid, -chloranilid, -p-anisidid, -kresidid n. a.,

  Method for D a r s t e l l u n g o n A z o f a h r b s t o f f e n.

It has been found that valuable yellow cotton dyes are obtained if the diazo compound of dehydrothiotoluidine disulfonic acid (obtainable according to the process of patent specification No. 69746 either by baking the usual debydro thiotoluidine sulfonic acid or by sulfating the dehydrothiotoluidine monosulfonic acid obtained in the baking process) with oleum Acetoacetic arylids. The yellow dyes obtained in this way are characterized by excellent solubility, very good affinity for cotton fibers, particular clarity of the shade and their lightfastness.

Similar dyes are obtained by using other aromatic aminothiazole disulfonic acids, such as. B. the dehydrothio-m-xylidindisulfosaure and the primulin disulfonic acids, which can also be represented by the above-mentioned baking process, as Diazotier-

Slurry of 207 parts of acetic acid anisidide to which 300 parts of soda has been added beforehand. After a while, the finished coupling is heated until the dye is completely dissolved and this is precipitated while hot with table salt. He sews cotton in beautiful. greenish-yellow, very lightfast nuances.

   Examples.

472 parts of sodium dehydrothio-m-xylidinsulfosaures (prepared directly from dehydrothio-m-xylidine in the baking process) are dissolved with water and, after addition of 400 parts of crude hydrochloric acid, diazotized at about 25 with 69 parts of sodium nitrite. The diazo solution is then slowly poured into a well-stirred, finely divided suspension of 205 parts of acetic acetic acid methylidide in water to which 300 parts of soda have been added beforehand. After some time, the coupling is heated until the dye has completely dissolved and the salad is cooked in the heat. The dye stains cotton in beautiful, greenish-yellow shades.

In the same way one can use acetoaceticandide, -chloranilide, -p-anisidide, -kresidide n.a.,
