Description

 EMI1.1

It is known to use an alloy for welding electrodes which contains titanium and possibly also aluminum to increase the quality properties of the welds. Arc fusion welds with such electrodes result in excellent physical values of the welds, as they can generally only be achieved with autogenous welding.

It has now been found that such an alloy also has great advantages when processed by gas fusion welding, since any subsequent degassing of the weld beads, which occurs in particular with welding wires with a higher carbon content, is prevented.

As such oxy-fuel welding wires, welding wires alloyed with 0.1-1.7% titanium and optionally 0.1-1.5% aluminum are advantageously used.
