Description
Sie hat dagegen bei Nickel und nickelreichen Legierungen (Nickelkupfer, Chromnickel und Neusilber) zu keinemUp to now, a welding powder or a welding powder has generally been used in the oxy-fuel welding of metals Welding paste for use, which has the purpose of oxides occurring during the welding process to solve. In the case of aluminum in particular, this method is more satisfactory in terms of autogenous welding Way allows. In contrast, with nickel and nickel-rich alloys (nickel-copper, Chrome nickel and nickel silver) to none
Nickels und nickelreicher Legierungen (Nickelkupfer, Chromnickel und Neusilber) und bei deren starker Neigung der Gasauf nähme eine rein metallische und dichte Verbindung nicht zu erzielen war.ίο led to a satisfactory result, namely probably because of the high melting temperature of nickel and nickel-rich alloys (nickel-copper, chromium-nickel and nickel silver) and with their strong tendency the gas intake would be purely metallic and tight connection could not be achieved.
The invention relates to a method which not only avoids these difficulties, but even the use of a special welding powder is eliminated. That The method is characterized in that the one to be subjected to the autogenous welding Nickel or the relevant alloys of nickel are initially alloyed with an addition of manganese whose percentage in nickel alloys increases with the level of the nickel content and, depending on the level of the latter, ranges from 0.1 to 2 percent. It has shown, that nickel and nickel-rich alloys (nickel-copper, chromium-nickel and nickel-silver) in this State of an alloy with manganese during the welding process even in the molten state are protected against gas absorption and oxide inclusion as well as against becoming porous and brittle, so that there is a purely metallic weld and consequently a metallically pure, tight connection of welded metals! is achieved.
