Abstract
La presente se refiere a un método para encender un dispositivo médico (1) alimentado por una batería (2). El método incluye ejecutar una prueba inicial de la batería. En la prueba inicial de la batería, se determina una tensión de diferencia entre una tensión de batería medida sin y con una carga de prueba. La carga de prueba está dimensionada de manera favorable para no fatigar significativamente la batería. La tensión de diferencia se compara con un umbral de tensión de diferencia, estando predefinido el umbral de tensión de diferencia dependiendo de la tensión sin carga de prueba. El método incluye además proporcionar una alarma si la tensión de diferencia está por encima del umbral de tensión de diferencia. La presente se refiere además a un dispositivo médico que implementa el método mencionado anteriormente y a un método para determinar la relación entre la tensión de diferencia y el umbral de tensión de diferencia. La presente puede usarse para garantizar que se proporciona una alarma si una batería recién insertada es demasiado débil para alimentar el dispositivo médico y que se encienda completamente.
