Abstract

La presente provee un procedimiento para producir lípidos para biocombustibles o lubricantes y bacterias Streptomyces usadas en el procedimiento. El procedimiento comprende cultivar células bacterianas del género Streptomyces en un medio que comprende desecho(s) o residuo(s) orgánico(s), o mezclas de los mismos, como fuente(s) de carbono y/o nutriente(s), recuperando lípidos de las células de dichas bacterias o del medio de cultivo, y usando los lípidos recuperados, o una fraccion de los mismos, como biocombustible y/o lubricante, o como un material de partida para la produccion de biocombutibles y/o lubricantes. Además, en un aspecto provee productos obtenidos usando el procedimiento de acuerdo con esta divulgacion.
