Abstract

La presente divulgacion se refiere, de acuerdo con algunas formas de realizacion, a composiciones, aparatos, métodos, y sistemas que se pueden usar para producir polioles, por ejemplo, polioles de poliéter con un rango estrecho de pesos moleculares, con pocos subproductos insaturados, o ninguno, en una reaccion sostenida y/o continua, con eficiente transferencia de calor y/o a altas velocidades de produccion. Por ejemplo, en algunas formas de realizacion, se pueden usar las composiciones, aparatos, métodos y sistemas de la divulgacion para producir polioles de poliéter en un procedimiento de flujo de recirculacion continuo. Un procedimiento de flujo de recirculacion continuo puede ser puesto en práctica de tal modo que el calor es transferido efectivamente y/o las propiedades del producto (por ejemplo, rango de pesos moleculares) se pueden controlar. Por ejemplo, un procedimiento de flujo de recirculacion continuo puede usar uno o más circuitos de flujo continuos que comprenden un intercambiador de calor, un medio para mover material alrededor de cada circuito (por ejemplo, a una relacion de recirculacion de por lo menos aproximadamente 100), entradas para el catalizador, el monomero, el iniciador o starter y una salida para el producto de poliol.
