Abstract
Se provee ARN de interferencia para la inhibicion de la expresion del ARNm de la amiloide A sérica en glaucomas que involucran la expresion de SAA. Reivindicacion 1: Un método para atenuar la expresion del ARNm de la amiloide A sérica en el ojo de un sujeto, que comprende: administrar al ojo del sujeto una composicion que comprende una cantidad eficaz de ARN de interferencia que tiene una longitud de 19 a 49 nucleotidos y un vehículo aceptable para uso farmacéutico comprendiendo el ARN de interferencia: una secuencia nucleotídica sentido, una secuencia nucleotídica antisentido y una region de al menos una complementariedad contigua casi perfecta de al menos 19 nucleotidos entre las secuencias sentido y antisentido; donde la secuencia antisentido híbrida en condiciones fisiologicas a una porcion del ARNm correspondiente a la SEQ ID N°: 1, SEQ ID N°: 2, o SEQ ID N°: 3 y tiene una region de al menos una complementariedad contigua casi perfecta de al menos 19 nucleotidos, con la porcion de hibridacion del ARNm que corresponde a la SEQ ID N°:1, SEQ ID N°: 2, o SEQ ID N°: 3, respectivamente, donde la expresion del ARNm de la amiloide A sérica de este modo se atenua. Reivindicacion 23: Una composicion que comprende el ARN de interferencia que tiene una longitud de 19 a 49 nucleotidos y un vehículo aceptable para uso farmacéutico, comprendiendo el ARN de interferencia: una secuencia nucleotídica que tiene una region de al menos una complementariedad contigua casi perfecta de al menos 19 nucleotidos, con una porcion de hibridacion del ARNm correspondiente a la SEQ ID N°: 1 que comienza en el nucleotido 230, 357, 362, 380, 447, 470, 527, 531, 548, o 557; del ARNm correspondiente a la SEQ ID N° : 2 que comienza en el nucleotido 43, 170, 175, 193, 260, 283, 339 o 370; del ARNm correspondiente a la SEQ ID N°: 2 que comienza en el nucleotido 252, 271, 276, 325, 343; o el ARNm correspondiente a la SEQ ID N°: 3 que comienza en el nucleotido 153, 166, 22, 227, 251, 268, 297, 335, 356, 384, 390, 396, 406 o 423.
