Abstract
Un método enzimático para determinar la actividad biológica de defibrotida. Dicho método, que se basa en la capacidad de la defibrotida de potenciar la actividad enzimática de la plasmina, comprende los pasos de: a) poner en contacto defibrotida, plasmina y un sustrato específico para la plasmina que, por reacción con dicha plasmina, proporciona un producto mensurable y b) medir sucesivas veces la cantidad del producto formado. La defibrotida ha sido sujeto de muchas investigaciones farmacológicas que sugirieron su aplicación en terapia como agente-trombótico. También se ha utilizado con éxito en el tratamiento de arteriopatías periféricas, en insuficiencia renal aguda o en isquemia aguda de miocardio Reivindicación 12: Un conjunto de elementos (kit) para determinar la actividad biológica de la defibrotida de acuerdo con las Reivindicaciones precedentes, caracterizado porque comprende por lo menos: a) una cantidad medida de un sustrato para plasmina y b) una cantidad medida de dicha plasmina.
