Abstract

Una composición acuosa formadora de un adhesivo de látex que comprende una mezcla de A) un primer componente adhesivo de látex que comprende un polímeroque está formado por una mezcla de monómeros que comprende entre 40 y 95% en peso de cloruro de vinilideno, cloruro de vinilo o mezclas de los mismos, entre5 y 60% en peso de monómeros acrílicos, y de 0 hasta 55% en peso de monómeros de vinilo co-polimerizables además de suficiente surfactante para mantener unaemulsión de dicho polímero, yB) un segundo componente adhesivo de látex que comprende el polímero formado entre 50% en peso y 100% en peso de monómeroacrilíco, siendo el resto monómero vinílico co-polimerizable, además de suficiente surfactante para mantener una emulsión de dicho polímero. Dichoprimer componente adhesivo de látex A) tiene un régimen de transmisión de oxígeno que es por lo menos 775 cm3 O2/m2/día inferior al de dicho segundocomponente B) adhesivo de látex. Dicho primer y segundo componente de látex están mezclados de manera que el polímero de dicho primer componente adhesivode látex comprende entre 5 y 95% en peso del polímero total de dicho primer y segundo componente adhesivo de látex y el polímero de dicho segundocomponente adhesivo de látex comprende entre 95 y 5% en peso del polímero total de dicho primer y segundo componentes adhesivos de látex. Esta composición esútil para adherir películas de un material de baja barrera, tal como películas de poliolefinas, proporcionando de esta manera una capa adhesiva de propiedadescontroladas de barrera contra el gas. Además, se da a conocer un método para preparar un laminado empleando dicha composición.
