Chemistry (KEMI)

At the division of Chemistry, research is being performed in the areas of biochemistry, molecular biotechnology, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, inorganic chemistry and in physical chemistry, especially computational chemistry.

The research teams consist of about fifteen senior scientists and twenty PhD students, and the research projects are often carried out in cooperation within the department, with other national and international research groups, and with industrial partners.

The broad research activities in chemistry fulfill the aim of the university towards Life Science, a multidisciplinary approach that brings together researchers and projects from chemistry, biology and physics.

Pedersen Group

The Henrik Pedersen research group at Linköping University is working on chemical vapour deposition (CVD) with the aim to develop better CVD routes to, primarily, electronic materials.

Hammarström Lab

We are interested in protein misfolding, amyloid formation and disease, both on the molecular level and in the cellular perspective.

SMILE - Increasing SME access for Innovation to Large-scale Infrastructures

SMILE wants to actively inspire small and medium sized enterprises within Life Science Technology in the region of Eastern Central Sweden to take advantage of the opportunities for applications of new technologies.
