Naslov magistarskog rada Prema modelu središnje visokoškolske knjižnice za područje elektrotehnike u Hrvatskoj govori o namjeri da se istraživački napor usmjeri, a njegovi rezultati iskoriste za promišljanje budućeg djelotvornijeg načina povezivanja elektrotehničkih knjižnica u Hrvatskoj i njihova snažnijeg uključivanja u svjetske razvojne tijekove. U radu sam stoga nastojala ukazati na razvoj znanosti i tehnologije te njihov utjecaj na razvoj društva generalno, napose na karakteristike razvoja znanosti i tehnike u Hrvatskoj, i važnost akademskog obrazovanja i znanstvenoistraživačkog rada - obuhvaćeno u dijelu rada koji je naslovljen kao Uvod. U tome su dijelu predstavljeni osnovni ciljevi rada i postavljene radne hipoteze. Zatim slijedi dio o povijesnome razvoju tehničkih i elektrotehničkih disciplina, u kojemu su detaljno, na osnovi raspoložive dokumentacije, publiciranih dokumenata i arhivske građe, predstavljeni glavni pravci razvoja akademskoga obrazovanja i znanstvenoistraživa...

The purpose of this article is to present the development of a research assistance library service - online assistance in finding resources on a given topic - in the period between 2006 and 2012. With the implementation of the Bologna process in Croatia, there was a need for a more proactive involvement of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Central Library in the Faculty teaching procedure. With its resources available, the FER Central Library sought to contribute to the quality of the way students conduct research for their papers, and therefore launched the research support service, which, over the years, developed into a successful virtual link between given research topics, mentors, students, and the Library itself. Furthermore, the virtual library support proved to be a useful non-formal learning tool. Results of an online questionnaire the service users completed are presented, and the future plans for further improvement of the service are set forth.

Nakon 17 godina rada u programu za knjižnicno poslovanje FERLIB, Sredisnja knjižnica Fakulteta elektrotehnike i racunarstva upustila se u implementaciju novog programa Koha, predstavnika slobodnog integriranog knjižnicnog sustava za poslovanje. Autorice na pocetku predstavljaju odlike prethodnog programa FERLIB te se dalje u radu usmjeravaju na cetiri faze rada pri implementaciji u kojima isticu posebnosti i problematiku svake od pojedinih faza. Cilj ovog rada jest prikaz jedinstvenosti usvajanja novog programa za poslovanje; suradnje knjižnicara Sredisnje knjižnice, sistem knjižnicara Filozofskog fakulteta u Zagrebu i djelatnika Centra za informacijsku potporu; prijedloga o mogucnostima daljnjeg razvijanja Kohe za potrebe Knjižnicnog sustava FER-a, i konacno, razbijanje predrasuda o programima otvorenog sustava u knjižnicnom poslovanju.

At the beginning of the academic year 2011-2012 the Central Library of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) set foot in the world of Web 2.0 expanding to social networks: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+. The necessity to integrate social networks into library management occurred due to the presence of a large number of patrons on the Web. It also turned out that besides being a learning and resource centre, the essential concept of a modern library refers to its active participation in teaching. For the purpose of this study we have isolated the Central Library Facebook Page, as the most significant in social networking. Ovaj rad prikazuje rezultate pilot projekta Knjižnice Fakulteta elektrotehnike i racunarstva u Zagrebu gdje se metodom e-ucenja pokusalo aktivno pripremiti ucenike zavrsnih razreda nekoliko tehnickih skola diljem Hrvatske za studij na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i racunarstva. Pri tomu su se koristili Merlin, program Sveucilisnog racunskog centra (SRCE) za ucenje na daljinu, i AAI@EduHr, infrastrukturu CARNeta za autentikaciju i autorizaciju sustava znanosti i visokog obrazovanja u Republici Hrvatskoj . Clanak problematizira pitanje ukljucenosti visokoskolske knjižnice u obrazovne procese te njenu ulogu u e-ucenju.

Tijekom ljeta 2011.g. novoupisanim studentima FER-a ponuđen je mrežni portal www.fer.unizg.hr/dobrodosli kao e-premosnica od srednjoskolskog prema akademskom obrazovanju. Anonimnim mrežnim anketnim upitnikom nastojalo se istražiti zadovoljstvo ponuđenim portalom te otkriti obilježja novoupisane generacije studenata tj. u kojem obimu njihov profil odgovara terminima kojima su u literaturi imenovani (Homo Zappiens, digitalni urođenici/digitalni domacini, net generacija, y-generacija, millennials, nano itd.). Studenti koji su sudjelovali u ovom istraživanju vecim su dijelom poceli rabiti racunalo u prvim razredima osnovne skole. U kasnijim razredima osnovne skole poceli su koristiti i chat programe i pretraživati Internet. Vecina studenata osjeca se bolje kada ima Internet pri ruci, a on im je vrlo važno sredstvo pri uspostavi i održavanju socijalnih kontakata. In 2011 the Croatian Government issued the National Plan for Employment 2011-2012 (continued to the end of 2013) whose aim was to increase the employment and decrease the unemployment rate. One of its target groups are young people. Consequently, the Croatian Employment Service has, as a part of this plan, initiated the program entitled “Work, work experience and transport” whose aim was to enable young people, without professional experience, the possibility to gain the professional experience in the area of their education, pass the state exam and become more competitive at the work market. This paper presents the findings of the online survey conducted in the period of November and December 2013 among the young people who took part in this Program working in either an academic or a public library in Croatia. This paper presents the findings of a pilot-project of the library of the Electrical Engineering Faculty in Zagreb. The aim of the project was to prepare secondary school fourth-year students of several technical schools in Croatia for the study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb using the e-leaming method. Preparatory materials and tests were supplied to the students through Merlin, distance-learning software developed by the University Computing Centre (SRCE) and AAI@EduHr, CARNet's infrastructure for authentication and authorization within the system of science and higher education. This paper discusses the inclusion of an academic library in the educational processes as well as its role in e-learning processes.

Cilj je ovog rada predočiti kompleksnost provođenja revizije knjižne građe jedne visokoškolske ustanove. Tek nakon što je 2011. godine knjižnični program Koha uspješno implementiran u knjižnično poslovanje Knjižničnog sustava Fakulteta elektrotehnike   i računarstva u Zagrebu, po prvi je put u 50 godina postojanja Središnje knjižnice Fakulteta provedena revizija monografskih publikacija u toj ustanovi. Naime knjižnični sustav FER-a čine Središnja knjižnica Fakulteta i 12 zavodskih knjižnica. Zavodske zbirke literature, kao nezaobilazan segment praćenja znanstveno-nastavne djelatnosti pojedinog zavoda, stvarane su desetljećima, dok je fond Središnje knjižnice fokusiran uglavnom na potrebe studenata. Th aim of the paper is to present findings of a study on information sources and information behavior of doctoral students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. The study also looked into student perceptions of the role of the academic library and their attitudes toward it as a legitimate partner in the research process, as doctoral students are required to publish the results of their doctoral research in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals during their course of study. Cilj. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se na uzorku studenata na studentskoj praksi i knjižničara/mentora utvrdi postoje li razlike među njihovim stavovima o važnosti stu- dentske prakse, kompetencijama koje studenti usvajaju na praksi te osobinama i kom- petencijama mentora. U istraživanju su sudjelovale dvije skupine ispitanika: studenti 2. godine diplomskog studija bibliotekarstva na Odsjeku za informacijske i komunika- cijske znanosti pri Filozofskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i knjižničari Knjižnice Filozofskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
