Study reveals that such minimization of conflicts and segregation of traffic is possible by proper channelization. Present signalized intersection is evaluated by traffic analysis and suitable design parameters of rotary intersection are developed to give safer, high capacity and more reliable movement at intersection.

Now a day, the traffic congestion is the major problems of our country India. The urbanization of Indian cities increasing and also the vehicle registration of that cities are increasing which is results in increase of the traffic congestion, For the present study, Savala Junction of Visnagar city is selected as a case study which is facing major problems viz. traffic due to uneven vehicle flow, uneven parking, no traffic signals, encroachments etc. and due to this problems time consumption of road users and accidental rate is high. The analysis of the present study junction is carried out from the collected data of videography. The aim of the study is to control the traffic congestion at the Savala junction and to provide the safety to the peoples.

Public transportation is one of the most important component of urban transport system, particularly in pace of rapid urbanization in Ahmedabad city. Today in the city, the utilization of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) is increasingly day by day looking for cost effective transit solutions and for environmental concerns. But the problems facing by the users to use this system are poor accessibility status. For effective planning, it is quite essential to understand the degree of accessibility of BRTS. BRTS accessibility can be considered as one of the vital factor to integrate the land use and bus route network system to promote the public transit system. The present paper focuses on measurement of walking accessibility of BRTS taking one route name as RTO to Memnagar as a case study.

Public transit plays a vital role in economic development for access to the commuters/ travelers to the city centers of metropolitan cities of developing countries. Accessibility of public transit system is a prime factor faced by developing countries due to the lack of feeder services. Therefore, an attempt to improve the feeder services (with different modes i.e. as walking, bicycle, mini bus) is major importance. The present research focuses on new innovative ideas of bicycle as feeder mode with its three services i.e. Exclusive Bicycle Lane, Bicycle operation in mixed traffic with park & ride facility and Bicycle Sharing Service for Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridor of Ahmedabad city. The multinomial logit model was applied to develop the models. The findings from the study revealed that as income increases the preference to BMT-PR service increases over BSS and EBL service for their commuting purpose. The observations of age distribution shows with increase in age, the choice of EBL service over BSS and decrease BMT-PR service over BSS. Gender wise distribution indicated that preference to EBL service as well as BMT-PR service are higher among male groups compared with female groups. The observation of the study revealed that with increase in travel time, the respondents are more preferring BSS service over both EBL service and BMT-PR service. Same as travel distance increases will be more preference of BSS over EBL service and BMT-PR service by commuters. The output of this research can be extremely useful to increase ridership of public transit by integrating feeder service.

Due to rapid urbanization and growth of industries the traffic flow is increasing day by day resulting in heavy loading on existing road network of the country. During last three decades, there is sufficient increase in the road infrastructure resulting in increase of the total length of roads in the country. The road network in India carries more than two third of the freight traffic. Due to repetition of wheel loads, variation in temperature and other environmental effects most of pavements get damaged. Covering of asphalt pavement with a layer of cement concrete is termed as White topping. On the basis of thickness of the concrete layer it can be divided into bonded and unbonded or conventional White topping. When the thickness of the concrete layer is 200 mm or more and not bonded to the asphalt it is called unbonded or conventional White topping. Bonded White topping is of thickness of 50 mm to 150 mm bonded to Asphalt pavement layer and is of two types, thin and ultrathin. The bond is made by texturing the asphalt. Thin white topping is a bonded layer of concrete of thickness 100 mm to 150 mm while an ultrathin layer is 50 mm to100 mm thick. The use of ultrathin white topping (UTW) is preferred for deteriorated asphalt pavements with fatigue and rut distress. The actual thickness of ultrathin white topping is reliant on traffic loading, existing asphalt pavement thickness and grading of concrete.

The utilization of Metro transit relies greatly on the quality of the total chain from one's home to the activity place and back. However, accessibility to the fixed stations is a great hindrance to the system performance and user satisfaction. Several paratransit modes both motorized and non-motorized have been used in access-egress of the metro around the world where, in Mumbai City, India, paratransit modes (autorickshaws) have a 47% share. Paratransit modes serve a wide range of users with unlimited geographic access at lowmedium cost anytime but have regulatory and safety issues. Therefore, mobility by urban transit systems is still low due to lack of integration and competition between different operators with no coordination. In this study, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) showed that the main influential factors for enhanced mobility were Transfer period/time and Accessibility with Standardized Regression Weights of 0.905 and 0.854 respectively. The study proposes full integration of Paratransit with Metro by establishing coordination of the two systems under one control using smart technological platforms. Hence, a transit system right from the commuter's home doorsteps to the activity place and back in a completely coordinated, timely, cost-efficient, safe and convenient manner.
