Aleksandar Uskokov
University of Wisconsin-Madison, SASLI -- The South Asia Summer Language Institute, Lecturer in Sanskrit
I am a historian of premodern Indian philosophy and religion, which I approach through the lens of the history of ideas. My area of specialization is Vedanta construed broadly, and it’s interaction with other knowledge systems on one hand and Vaishnavism on the other. I also focus on the foundational texts of Vedanta—the Upanishads, Brahma-sutra, and the Bhagavad-gita—and teach Sanskrit at all levels of instruction.
