oxidized copper is such a beautiful color palette. The rich reds with the cool teals. Such a vibrant combo. No one is doing it like her.

hello gorgeous do you come here often
is anyone else constantly afraid they’ll be “caught” doing stuff they’re obviously allowed or even supposed to do
uh oh 😖 I’m playing video games 😰 on my computer 🫢 that I own 😨 if anyone sees this I’m going to have to fake my own death
I'm walking to my mailbox to check my mail, someone is walking in front of me in the same direction, they must think I'm following them, I need to self-immolate as penance
Best attribute you can have working with kids is chillness. You can and should still enforce rules and expectations, but kids pick up massively on vibes and if you are chill, you become a dam to unchillness
Sometimes kids don’t need to hear “this behavior is unacceptable,” sometimes they need to hear “bruh.”
If you establish really clear expectations from the get-go, kids usually don’t actually need any second explanation. You can just say “dude” and they will self-correct unless they are actively trying to be disruptive.
“Guys if you don’t behave I’m not going to do the Fortnite dance for you anymore.”
“NOOOOOOOOO”
Also if you sincerely commit to being chill 99.9% of the time, they will take that remaining 0.1% WAY more seriously when it’s actually most essential. (For me this line is crossed with unwanted violence or sexual behavior toward other students, but depending on the age group the line may be drawn elsewhere: for young children it is probably more centered around dangerous behavior and personal risk.)
“I’m tired of voting every 4 years”
You’re 26 and there’s 80 year old black women who remember a time when they couldn’t vote but STILL aren’t tired of it. Maybe it’s a skill issue on your part.
You should also be voting more often than every four years. Use your rights that people fought and bled for.

skin is not supposed to be perfectly smooth and clear and unblemished. it’s literally like 5 sq ft of organ that’s ENTIRELY ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR BODY. it’s supposed to protect you and your organs and your muscles and ligaments etc. without skin that can adapt we would all be riddled with infections and pain. even “imperfect” skin loves you and doesn’t want you to suffer. be nice to it . it is your friend
If your skin didn’t wrinkle, crack, bruise, tan, freckle, or scar then we wouldn’t be alive!!! those are all evolutionary adaptations!!! it’s your body’s way of keeping you in one piece :) and it’s beautiful
what if there was a show where every character was gay and you had the token straight guy character who acted really stereotypical and was into cars beers and women and everyone was like OH STRAIGHT LARRY YOU’RE SO FUNNY AND STRAIGHT
Thanks for this addition omfg that is hilarious
not providing the scene in question is a crime
A friendly reminder to USians: if you are planning to vote on Election Day, your mantra is "Nothing I see today convinces me not to go vote."
Exit polls suggest DT cannot be caught? YOU STILL GO VOTE.
Exit polls suggest KH has it in the bag? YOU STILL GO VOTE.
Pundits are saying the country is swinging overwhelmingly red? YOU STILL GO VOTE.
Pundits are saying the country is swinging overwhelmingly blue? YOU STILL GO VOTE.
Polls can be misleading (intentionally or not). The methodology can be biased (or simply poor). Early results may not reflect what the full count will show. There may be a red mirage. NOTHING YOU SEE CONVINCES YOU NOT TO VOTE.
The biggest Democratic win in swing states means nothing if democrats don't turn out everywhere to keep the reliably blue states blue.
VOTE. Wear appropriate weather gear if you think you may have to stand in a line outside (coat, hat, gloves, umbrella, sunhat, whatever, you know where you live). Bring water and a snack and something to do (book, game on your phone, podcast and headphones, whatever, you know what you like). GO VOTE.
NOTHING YOU SEE ON ELECTION DAY CONVINCES YOU NOT TO VOTE.
Article is from 2020, but parts of it still apply to varying degrees (early voting and absentee votes are still expected to be higher than pre-COVID this year, and those votes are not well-accounted for by exit polls). Plus, the excerpt below is applicable every year:
Even under ideal conditions, exit polls can be misleading. People often use them to suss out the horse race while waiting for results to get insight into who’s winning, but exit polls aren’t intended to be used this way. Really, what they’re designed to do is help explain how a candidate won after everything is said and done, breaking down a candidate’s support using various demographic variables like gender, race and education. (For example, they made it really easy to tease out how the gender gap between Democratic and Republican support has grown with time.) But exit polls should not be used as a way to gauge a candidate’s support in real time. For starters, exit poll numbers can — and do — change over the course of election night, so you should be especially skeptical of the earliest exit-poll numbers, typically released around 5 p.m. Eastern. By definition, this first wave of exit polls are incomplete: Polling places are still open, and who’s represented in the electorate could change. For example, people who vote early on Election Day tend to be older than the electorate at large, which can skew the numbers some.
TL;DR: exit polls aren't actually designed to predict the winner of the election, so don't let them influence your choice to vote.
Whose 9 year old named this dinosaur
Coolest 9-y-o ever. Hope they know!
It’s named after Argentinian paleontologist Sebastian Apesteguia, whose nickname is “El Ninja”. It’s the oldest titanosaur they’ve found and might just be the largest dinosaur ever discovered.
