The following slides will
provide information from The
American Safety & Health
Institute (ASHI)
Bleeding
● Apply Direct Pressure to the wound (using a pressure
bandage)
● Elevate (do not further harm)
● Pressure Point additional pressure may be applied to a
pressure point to help reduce bleeding.
Strains
I-C-E

I-Ice apply a cold pack. C-Compress use an E-Elevate above heart


Do not apply ice elastic or conforming level to control internal
directly to skin wrap- not too tight bleeding
Heat Exhaustion & Heat
Stroke

● Seek emergency medical assistance


immediately
● If casualty is unconscious, place
them in recovery position
● Sponge down the body with a cool
and wet cloth
● Ice packs to head, neck, armpit
● Provide with water
Burns and Scalds

What You Will See What You Should Do


Remove any jewelry
Redness

Care for Shock

Elevate legs
