ASSESSMENT FOR THE KENYA NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL
1.0 The Kenya National Examinations Council has appointed you to invigilate the 2025 Examinations at INCARNATE WORD
EDUCATION CENTRE examination centre from 24 October 2025 to 29 October 2025 . You will be reimbursed travel th th
expenses of1,665/= for the the three (3) days inclusive of the rehearsal day.However payment will be based on days worked
(only when the examinations are being administered).
2.0 According to the KNEC Policy, the Supervisors and Invigilators who were deployed in your centre for the last two (2) consecutive
years should not serve there. The Cp2 system has been configured to block their deployment and you shall not be able to take
their daily attendance.
3.0 To enable your deployment, you must register into Contracted Professionals (CP2) system that is accessible through the
following link: http://cp2.knec.ac.ke. In the instance where you cannot remember your password, first dial *456*9*5*5*1, then reset
the password.
4.0 As an invigilator you are responsible to the TSC Sub County Director. You will work under the directions of the supervisor. The
Council has delegated this duty to you and expects you to conduct assessments according to KNEC regulations and instructions.
Your duties will include the following among others:-
4.1 th
Reporting to the assigned examination centre on 24 October 2025 for briefing and assignment of duties by the
supervisor;
4.2 Reporting to the assessment centre by 7.00 am in the morning on every day of the assessment to receive the assessment
materials from the Supervisor;
4.3 Inspecting the assessment room assigned and the washrooms to be used every day before the assessment starts to
ensure that there are no unauthorized materials or stimulus materials in the assessment room or on the candidates’ desks
or tables;
4.4 Closely monitoring candidates inside and outside the assessment room and ensuring that candidate is escorted to
washrooms and searched before re-entering the assessment room;
4.5 Searching candidates each time they enter the assessment room to prevent smuggling of unauthorized materials and
stimulus materials including mobile phones or any other electronic communication devices into the room. In this regard,
female candidates must be searched by a female supervisor or invigilator or teacher and male students must be searched
by male supervisors or invigilators or teachers;
4.6 Receiving the question papers from the supervisor, checking to ensure that the paper is correct as per the timetable and
count them to confirm that there are enough copies for all the candidates before distributing them;
4.7 Ensuring that the assessment starts promptly and lasts for the time scheduled on the assessment timetable and hand over
to the supervisor any question paper with errors or blank pages;
4.8 Ensuring that no unauthorized persons has access to question papers or candidates while the assessment is in progress;
4.9 Being vigilant to ensure that candidates do not engage in any kind of assessment malpractice and in case of any, report to
the supervisor;
4.10 Ensuring that every candidate is issued with the OMR answer sheet bearing their names and index numbers
for the learning area as time tabled and
4.11 Ensuring that no candidate responses are on the question paper without authority from the KNEC CEO.
4.12 Not explaining the questions to the candidates, aiding, reading or allowing any person to read candidates’ responses;
4.14 Overall Responsibility:
a) Be held personally liable for any assessment irregularity which he/she failed to report during the conduct of the
assessments within the assessment room he/she is allocated and its environs.
b) Ensure that the assessment is conducted as per the Act, written law, these rules and Council regulations.
c) Ensuring online attendance is taken every day by the centre manager and at the end of the examination period they
sign against their names on the downloaded and printed copy for payment purposes
