RESOLUTION NO.1-2025
“A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SCHOOL GYMNASIUM IN
TAYAWAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO PROMOTE HOLISTIC STUDENT
DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT”
WHEREAS, Tayawan National High School is committed to providing quality education and fostering the
holistic development of its students, including their physical, social, and emotional well-being;
WHEREAS, the absence of a dedicated gymnasium limits the school’s capacity to conduct physical
education classes, sports activities, cultural programs, and large-scale school events in a safe and conducive
environment;
WHEREAS, a school gymnasium will serve as a multifunctional facility that supports not only athletic
development but also disaster preparedness, community assemblies, and extracurricular programs;
WHEREAS, the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) recognizes the urgent need for such a facility and
expresses its full support for the construction of a gymnasium that will benefit current and future generations
of Tayawan National High School students;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the Tayawan National High
School Parents-Teachers Association respectfully urges the Department of Education, Local Government
Units, and other concerned agencies to allocate funding and provide necessary support for the construction
of a school gymnasium;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution be submitted to the School Head, the Schools Division
Superintendent, the City Mayor, and the Office of the Congresswoman of the 3 rd District, and other relevant
stakeholders for appropriate action.
Approved unanimously this 4th day of July, 2025 at Tayawan National High School, Tayawan, Bayawan
City, Negros Oriental, Philippines.
