Excerpts from the Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Administration, School Governing Council, General Parents and Teachers
Association and Faculty Association Officers held on February 14, 2019 at 9:00 in the morning at the Hallway of Cauayan City National
High School.
                                                   RESOLUTION NO. 1, SERIES 2019
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE EMMANUEL “MANNY” PACQUIAO, SENATOR, REPUBLIC OF
THE PHILIPPINES TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND INSTALLATION OF RUBBERIZED TRACK
AND SPORTS PLAYGROUND FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT OF THE CAUAYAN CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
ATHLETIC OVAL.
WHEREAS, Cauayan City National High School, as one of the biggest schools in Region 02 and the biggest school in the Province of
Isabela with a total population of more than 6,000 students both in the Junior High School and Senior High School, with more than 270
teaching and non-teaching employees, is found in the heart of Cauayan City particularly in Barangay Turayong;
WHEREAS, through the leadership of Mr. John Rivera Mina, Secondary School Principal IV, with the strong and solid partnership and
collaboration of internal and external stakeholders, Cauayan City National High School has been the venue of most prominent DepEd’s
initiated academic and non-academic competitions - division and regional levels, such as the PSYSC (Philippine Society of Youth Science
Club) Camp & Summit, Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT), Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), Regional Science &
Technology Fair (RSTF), Regional Basic Education Research Conference (RBERC) to name a few, including sports competitions,
seminars, trainings and conferences;
WHEREAS, the school successfully managed to receive numerous awards and distinction for being the Hall of Famer in Brigada
Eskwela, big school category nationwide, Best School Forest Park, national level, through the initiative of Senator Loren Legarda and
recently, it seized the awards for being the Champion in Most Sustained Brigada Eskwela 2018, nationwide, 3 rd Runner-up in the National
Competition of Project Watch and 1st Runner-up in Gawad Kalasag, national level, and many others;
WHEREAS, the school has been hosting the Division In-House Training of qualified athletes for three weeks now in preparation for the
CAVRAA (Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association) Meet this coming March 2019;
WHEREAS, the athletic oval situated at the center of Senior High School buildings in Cauayan City National High School could not be
fully utilized by the more or less 500 athletes for their intensive training since its playground is rough, filled with gravel & sand and the
school has no means for its development or improvement due to a very limited source of fund;
WHEREAS, through the collaborative effort of the Administration, School Governing Council, General Parents and Teachers Association
and Faculty Association Officers, they agreed to request for funds to realize the above-cited purpose or project;
WHEREFORE, upon unanimous accord by the body, it was resolved as it is hereby
RESOLVED to request the Honorable Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, Senator, Republic of the Philippines to allocate funds for the
development and installation of rubberized track and sports playground facilities and equipment of the Cauayan City National High School
Athletic Oval;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Honorable Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, Senator, Republic of
the Philippines, for his favorable action and to Dr. Gilbert Narag Tong, Schools Division Superintendent for his information and guidance;
UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED by the Administration, School Governing Council, General Parents and Teachers Association and
Faculty Association Officers during their special meeting held on February 14, 2019.
