SCHOOL-BASED TRAINING OF TUTORS FOR THE ACADEMIC RECOVERY


AND ACCESSIBLE LEARNING PROGRAM

1. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 12028, otherwise known as the Academic


Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Act, and DepEd Order No. 18,
s. 2025, titled Implementing Guidelines of the ARAL Program, Pulo
National High School announces the conduct of the School-based
Training of Tutors for Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning on
September 11-12, 2025,(Thursday and Friday)from 8:00-5:00 PM at
Room 302-Comlab, DepEd Building I, Pulo National Hgh School.

2. This activity aims to capacitate tutors in delivering effective,


responsive, and learner-centered tutorial interventions. Specifically, it
aims to:
a. enhance knowledge and understanding of Republic Act No. 12028
ARAL Program Act) and its role in addressing learning recovery
and
educational equity.
b. Equip tutors with pedagogical skills in differentiated instruction,
assessment-based remediation, and learner-centered
strategies that target literacy, numeracy, and other
foundational competencies.
c. Develop competencies in using innovative and inclusive teaching
approaches that respond to diverse learner needs,
including those of struggling readers and numeracy- challenged
learners.
d. Foster positive attitudes and values among tutors by emphasizing
their role as motivators, mentors, and partners in promoting
holistic
learner development.
e. Establish mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of tutorial
sessions to ensure quality, effectiveness, and measurable learner
progress.

3. Participants are the Head Teachers Master Teachers, and subject teachers in
English and Filipino. The list of participants, program management team
and training matrix is enclosed for reference.
4. Teacher-participants are advised to provide alternative learning
activities for affected classes, in consideration of DepEd Order No. 9, s.
2005, titled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task.
5. Expenses incurred in this activity shall be charged against local funds
(canteen and Empanar) subject to the usual accounting procedures.
