LESSON PLAN

INTRODUCTION:

It is essential for young people and adults to acquire knowledge, develop


skills and positive attitudes that allow them to become citizens
useful to society.
Therefore, in this class, it is proposed that they will design, cut and
they will make a skirt; they will learn to take body measurements, to develop
the base skirt pattern, pattern transformation, place it on the fabric, cut
sewing, making darts, waistband, making a buttonhole, attaching a zipper, in addition to differentiating
and recognize the different types of fabric to use.

Learning is individual and each student has their own pace.

objectives

Acquire knowledge and develop educational skills that are


they relate to sewing.
Develop a sense of responsibility towards work and research
what is done in the sewing project.
Develop attitudes of organization, study habits, search for
information and work that will benefit you in your professional future and
vocational.
Interacting with the team is essential for marking, measuring, cutting, and cooking.
Knowing and selecting the fabrics.
Relating to the use of mold pattern.
Make a skirt.
Get to know and learn about hand sewing.
How to use the thimble and place the pins correctly.
Learn to sew fabric and to sew the skirt on the sewing machine.

FOUNDATION:

A fundamental aspect of vocational technical training is its nature


practical of learning. This includes the development of tasks that the
participant learns with the help of educational modules and with the guidance of
specialized educators in the technical aspect, as well as in the handling of the
methodology of 'learning by doing and producing', which allows the
participant, advance at their own pace.

From learning to take measurements, the drawing of the basic templates, the
transformation for the chosen model, the garment cut, the fitting and the
armed... Everything in detail, step by step…

CONTENTS:

. Workshop on simple techniques to obtain molds; copying, tracing and


creating them.

. Taking measurements.

. Cut fabric and trace a pattern.

. Copy the mold of a garment.

. Make a pleated and straight skirt.

. Basic sewing tools.

. Hand stitches.

. Straight machine. Parts, stitches, maintenance.

STRATEGIES:

They are of a practical nature aimed at directing and effectively guiding the
students in their learning.
The methodological conception that is applied in various situations is:
research, systematization, evaluation and planning, allowing the
active participation, dialogue, and collective reflection among the participants and
the teacher.

METHODS:

The development of the class is based on the use of active, practical methods.
participatory, developed individually and collectively.
An integrated training system is applied, special for the function of
dressmakers, where the most important task that the student must develop
it is based on achieving training through techniques and working methods.

Notes provided by the teacher.


Current magazines.
Pattern paper, centimeter, thread, needles, sewing machine, fabrics, chalk.

EVALUATION:
It is constant and continuous, taking into account:

. The development of personal autonomy and security.


. The participant's ability to recreate the studied contents,
recognizing the contributions made through innovations.
. The skills, competencies, abilities, and techniques in application
productive.
. Self-assessment

A checklist will be developed to record the cutting and sewing of the


garment applying specific procedures, finishing techniques and
hygiene and safety regulations.
