A RESOLUTION RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE OFFICE OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR


ARTHUR R. DEFENSOR JR. FOR A SOLAR PUMP IRRIGATION PROJECT OF BRGY. MONPON,
BAROTAC NUEVO, ILOILO.

WHEREAS, Brgy. Monpon, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo is predominantly an agricultural community,


with a significant portion of its residents engaged in farming activities;

WHEREAS, the barangay faces challenges in irrigation due to the high cost of fuel for traditional
water pumps and the unreliability of water supply during dry seasons;

WHEREAS, solar-powered irrigation systems have been successfully implemented in various


parts of the Philippines, providing sustainable and cost-effective solutions for agricultural
communities;

WHEREAS, the Provincial Government of Iloilo has been actively promoting the development of
sustainable agricultural projects to enhance productivity and support farmers;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Baranagy Kagawad Manuel A. Engada duly seconded by


Barangay Kagawad Alexander L. Alinday, so be it:

RESOLVED, that the Sangguniang Barangay of Monpon, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo earnestly requests
the Provincial Government of [Your Province] to implement a solar-powered irrigation project in
