I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- correctly use the words and sentence patterns from Unit 1 to Unit 5
- correctly use the words and sentence patterns from Unit 1 to Unit 5
- identify five different countries in the pictures and write the correct answer.
- identify the different times in different countries.
- read the questions and tick the correct answers, then say what countries are near /
far from Viet Nam.

Activity 1. - 1. Look and write :9’
*Aims: to identify five different countries in the
pictures.
*Context: Five pictures showing the five
countries with their flags: Viet Nam, England,
Japan, Australia, and America.
*Teaching techniques
- techniques in teaching reading
-individual, pairworks, pictures …
*Procedure:
-Aks ss to look at the pitures and elicit actitity in
each picture. Point at the pictures respectively to
explain the context.
-Draw pupils’ attention to the pictures. Ask -Look at the picture, listen and

Where is Viet Nam? and encourage pupils to
point to it. Write Viet Nam on the board.
- Have Ss complete the activity by writing the
name next to each country.                      -Ss do the task.

-Have pupils look at the clocks. Draw their
attention to the different times in different

Get them to look at the flags of Thailand,
America and Russia, elicit the right answer and
tick it (Picture a).
- T have time for ss to do the task. Go around
the classroom to offer support where necessary.

- Get Ss to swap books with a partner, then check
answers together as a class.
