coding fundamentals, cybersecurity, hardware).
o Pictures or diagrams relevant to informatics concepts.

2. Student Management
General Expectations (Use Mnemonic PRO):
o P - Participate: Participate in all instructional, recreational, and social
activities of the informatics class.
o R - Respect: Respect the time, individuality, privacy, turn, opinion, and
property of others, my teachers, and myself (Mnemonic: Tip-Top).
o O - Organize: Organize myself, my life, and my area at all times, including
digital files and physical workspace.
Classroom Culture (Use Mnemonic PRO with slight variation):
o P - Procedures:
1. Entering The Classroom: Enter quietly, go to your seat, and start
doing the "Bell Work" or Morning Assignment if you still have time.
2. Taking Roll: If you are on-time, remove your card from the Clip
Hanger and drop it in the "On-Time" drop-box (or place it on the side
for "On-Time") and proceed to your seat and start the morning
assignment. If you are late, remove your card from the Clip Hanger
and drop it in the "a bit late" drop-box (or place it on the side for "a bit
late") and participate with what's going on. You may complete your
assignment during the first break.
3. Devotional/Worship (if applicable): Set aside everything you are
doing in an orderly manner and participate in the worship or
devotional.
4. Attention Sign: The teacher-in-charge will raise his/her hand, you are
to raise your hand too (so others will notice and follow), and turn to the
teacher. Wait for the teacher to lower his/her hand before you lower
yours.
5. Breaks: You only have 10-minute breaks, so don't waste them. Be sure
to be on your seat before time runs out.
6. Gadgets: You could only use your gadgets before and after classes. If
it is really necessary to use your gadgets, you should ask permission
from the teacher. The teacher has the responsibility to keep your device
so that you will not be tempted to use it.
7. Going To The Bathroom: Relieve yourself during the Breaks. It is
extremely rude to interrupt the class unless it is an emergency. To get
the teachers' attention, raise your hand with a 3-sign (e.g., to ask
permission to use the restroom).
8. Asking Questions:
Jargon Cards (or 1-finger hand sign): Use this card (or raise
your hand with a 1-finger sign) if you have a question that
needs an answer right away. Be sure you have asked the person
next to you and your group mates for help before you use it.
Paper: Write your question on a piece of paper and put it on
your desk, if your question could wait for a while. The teacher
presenting will pick it up and read it during question time or
when he or she decides to answer it.
Journal: Use your journal to ask questions that could wait for
another day. You will receive your answer on your journal or
during the feedback time.
o R - Routines:
1. Questions:
1. Think about your questions.
2. Ask group-mates for help.
3. Use:
Jargon Card (or 1-finger hand sign) - if immediate.
Paper - if it could wait a while.
Journal - if it could wait the next day.
2. Morning Routines:
1. Enter Classroom Quietly.
2. Get and Drop Attendance Card.
3. Organize Work Area (physical and digital).
4. Check and Start Assignment.
3. Before Dismissal:
1. Check and Take note of Homework (if any).
2. Write Journal.
3. Clean and Organize work area (physical and digital).
4. Stand and Check Work Area.
5. Pray (if applicable).
6. Leave.
4. "Thank You" and "Please" Habit: Make saying "Thank you" and
"Please" a habit.
o O - Organization:
1. Learning Groups or Communities: The class will be organized into
learning groups which would work on helping each other reach their
learning goals. The group stays the same for the duration of the school
year.
2. Responsibilities:
Individual Accountability: I am accountable to:
1. Participate in all activities.
2. Take care of my personal comfort.
3. Complete individual assignments and submit them on
time.
4. Complete an equitable share of group tasks.
5. Evaluate myself and team mates fairly and honestly.
Group Responsibility:
1. The group is responsible for each member receiving all
assignments and all materials.
2. The group is responsible for clarifying questions for
each member.
Must ask group before asking the teacher.
3. The group is responsible for maintaining a functional
team. In cases of team dysfunction, it is the group's
responsibility to develop a plan for functionality in
consultation with the professor.
3. Roles: Each member is assigned a permanent number which would
rotate to different roles throughout the school year.
1. Recorder: Records everything the group has discussed and
decided on and other related duties.
2. Reporter: Reports on the ideas of the group when needed.
3. Social Skill Monitor: Reminds the group members of the
general expectations of the classroom. Specifically, he or she
makes sure that every member of the group is in before class
starts.
4. Materials and Environment Monitor: Takes care of the
material resources of the group (e.g., ensuring computer
equipment is functional). He or she ensures that the group's
work area is in order.
3. Discipline Plan
1. Proximity: Any teacher would go near the student, tap his or her shoulder or desk,
and smile.
2. Whisper: Any teacher would go near the student and whisper a reminder to him or
her.
3. Verbal Routine Worksheet: Ask the student to fill up a Verbal Routine Worksheet in
the HOT-Chair (a designated seat for reflection).
1. After the student fills up the form, he or she should set a schedule to have a
conference with the teacher. If a co-teacher is available, he or she could have
the conference right away.
2. The student brings the worksheet home and asks his or her parents or guardian
to sign the form.
