A. MENSURATION FORMULAS

1. 2D Shapes (Plane Figures)

1.1 Square

- Area = side × side = a^2

- Perimeter = 4 × side = 4a

- Diagonal = sqrt2 × side

1.2 Rectangle

- Area = length × breadth = l × b

- Perimeter = 2(l + b)

- Diagonal = sqrt(l^2 + b^2)

1.3 Triangle

- Area = (1/2) × base × height

- Heron's Formula: Area = sqrt[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)], where s = (a+b+c)/2

- Equilateral Triangle Area = (sqrt3/4) × a^2

- Perimeter = a + b + c

- Inradius = Area / s

- Circumradius = (abc) / (4 × Area)

1.4 Parallelogram

- Area = base × height = b × h

- Perimeter = 2(a + b)
1.5 Rhombus

- Area = (1/2) × d1 × d2

- Perimeter = 4 × side

1.6 Trapezium

- Area = (1/2) × (a + b) × h

1.7 Circle

- Area = pir^2

- Circumference = 2pir

- Diameter = 2r

- Area = (theta/360) × pir^2

2. 3D Shapes (Solid Figures)

- Surface Area = 6a^2

- Lateral Surface Area = 4a^2

2.2 Cuboid

- Surface Area = 2(lb + bh + hl)


- Lateral Surface Area = 2h(l + b)

- Volume = l × b × h

- Diagonal = sqrt(l^2 + b^2 + h^2)

2.3 Cylinder

- Curved Surface Area = 2pirh

- Total Surface Area = 2pir(h + r)

- Volume = pir^2h

2.4 Cone

- Curved Surface Area = pirl

- Total Surface Area = pir(l + r)

- Volume = (1/3)pir^2h

- Slant Height = sqrt(r^2 + h^2)

2.5 Sphere

- Surface Area = 4pir^2

- Volume = (4/3)pir^3

2.6 Hemisphere

- Curved Surface Area = 2pir^2

- Total Surface Area = 3pir^2

- Volume = (2/3)pir^3

B. GEOMETRY FORMULAS

1. Lines and Angles


- Sum of angles on a straight line = 180 deg

- Sum of angles around a point = 360 deg

- Vertically opposite angles are equal

- Alternate interior angles are equal

2. Triangles

- Sum of interior angles = 180 deg

- Exterior Angle = Sum of opposite interior angles

- Pythagoras Theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

3. Quadrilaterals

- Sum of angles = 360 deg

4. Polygons

- Sum of interior angles = (n - 2) × 180 deg

- Each angle in regular polygon = [(n - 2) × 180 deg]/n

- Number of diagonals = n(n - 3)/2

5. Circles (Geometry)

- Angle subtended by diameter = 90 deg

- Angle in the same segment is equal

- Tangent is perpendicular to radius at point of contact

6. Coordinate Geometry

- Distance = sqrt[(x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2]

- Midpoint = [(x1 + x2)/2 , (y1 + y2)/2]

- Slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)


- Area of Triangle = (1/2)|x1(y2 - y3) + x2(y3 - y1) + x3(y1 - y2)|
