Friday Analysis
Friday Reflections Summary Essay by Oleksiy Life is complex looking on how photosynthesis occurs
there is so many steps involved. This means to me that life is not easy. For life to be complex it has to
have different parts in doing something. Life is complex because it has many steps involved in solving
everyday life problems. During class I found out carbon dioxide and water all connect to photosynthesisto
make glucose and oxygen. You need to know how atoms change in order and what they create. Not only
that but you also have to know what happens when ATP goes to ADP how ATP gets its energy it s
complex to know how much you need to know for photosynthesis to finish. You need to know what gives
energy during photosynthesis which is the sun this showed examples on why life is complex. The sun
gives energy to ATP then ATP uses that energy to finish photosynthesis.... Show more content on

This means to me that a group of protists grew overtime and it looked cool in the microscope. For life
to be beautiful it needs to show different kinds of itself it needs to show different weather such as rain,
or sun. Life is beautiful because there is many things in life that are kind. Ecology of protists
populations showed how they grew overtime which in my opinion was beautiful because many of the
protists reproduce and in a few days there was a lot of them. Another evidence to my claim that life is
beautiful is the times we went to the prairie to look at plants and trees they looked good. They were
different which made them even more beautiful. The movie we have watched about the sharks shows
Life is beautiful because it shows how kind people can be to help out those sharks. This show how kind

The Factors That Disrupt My Dream Of Earning Higher Education
Since, it is not very long ago, a young refugee, living in a refugee camp for more than two decades of
my life. I never have a big and many dreams because dreaming is not among the things that the refugees
typically think about it. However, I have one dream to earn a higher education. Spending exiled life, there
are several different factors that disrupt me to chase my dream of earning higher education. For example,
financial difficulties, health problems, opportunity, and daily needs. Suddenly, a big change comes to me,
when I got the opportunity to come United States in September 2011 with the help of the International

After I graduate from Onondaga Community College, I attended Whitman School Of Management at
Syracuse University for my Bachelors where I studied double major as Finance and Accounting. Now,
this is my final term at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. I want to pursue
masters of Science in nursing at University of Rochester because the masters program at University of
Rochester perfectly fits my dream of earning higher education and being health professional. After my
degree I want to serve in my own community, which has a very

The Efficacy of Patient-Controlled Analgesia
The practice of patient controlled analgesia (PCA) has been around for approximately four decades
now. During this time there have been improvements to the technology and the understanding of how to
use this form of patient pain control; however, there continues to be concern related to the safety and
efficacy of PCA. As this analysis proceeds it will briefly explain what PCA is and how it is used, then
delve into the benefits and the safety issues surrounding PCA use as it pertains to the patient and the
nurse. Some of the benefits of PCA include improved painmanagement, improved use of nursing
resources, increased patient satisfaction, and reduced pulmonary issues (Hicks, Sikirica, Nelson, Schein
Cousins, 2008). Some of the safety... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Only patient activation of their infusion pump allows for this fundamental safeguard to come into play.
Later in this paper we will discuss the safety issues related to the activation of a PCA infusion pump by
someone other than the patient, a practice called PCA by proxy. Although there appears to be
significant benefits to the use of PCA infusion pumps, there are significant safety issues arising from the
use of PCA infusion pumps that can cause severe harm and potentially even death. Some of these safety
issues include infusion pump programming errors, basal infusion of opioids, and PCA by proxy. A
leading type of error identified in doing harm to PCA patients is the improper dosage or quantity of
analgesic medication (Hicks et al, 2008). This sort of error took place on a patient returning to a hospital
for postoperative pain management following a recent surgical procedure. The nurse was given an order
to manage the patient s pain with hydromorphone administered via PCA infusion pump. In programming
the pump the nurse inadvertently changed the concentration of the medication from 1mg/ml to 0.3mg/ml,
thus leading to errors in both the
Comparing Krush Grove And Do The Right Thing
In Spike Lee s Do The Right Thing and Michael Shultz s Krush Grove, the various sights and sounds
that are present from the beginnings of the movies are used as tools to portray the different African
American experiences that are present in both films. In the opening credits of Do The Right Thing,
Public Enemy s Fight the Power can be heard while a women dances. In this case, the imagery and
music are used as tools to help establish a setting that the movie takes place in. The sights and sounds in
the opening credits help transport the viewer to the streets of Brooklyn in the late 1980 s, where the
majority of Do The Right Thingtakes place. Similar techniques of creating a setting using sights and
sounds are used throughout Krush Grove.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Author Guthrie Ramsey states in Musing New Hoods that the music used in Do The Right Thing
depicts a range of associations that include black male and female subjectivity, ethnic identity, a sense
of location, emotional and mental states, a specific historical moment, and the perspectives of age
groups (Ramsey 314). The various characters in Do The Right Thing such as radio host Mister Señor
Love Daddy (played be Samuel L. Jackson) and Radio Raheem (played by Bill Nunn) use hip hop
music to establish a sense of location, emotional states, and ethnic identity that is present throughout the
movie. In one scene, Radio Raheem is shown in a confrontation with a group of Latinos playing Salsa
music. Radio Raheem proceeds to blast his hip hop music at full volume in order to outplay the Latinos
Salsa music. This is another example of how music is used in the film to display the ethnic identities of
individuals, as well as the various emotional and mental states that music can create. In addition to hip
hop music, Spike Lee implements a variety of music genres in Do The Right Thing in order to create a
certain ambiance and feeling. The use of orchestral music throughout the film plays an important role in
establishing specific emotions during scenes. Jazz and soul music are also used to display emotion during
various exchanges between characters. According to Victoria E. Johnson, the music used in Do The Right
Thing serves to convey a romanticized vision of community in the ethnically mixed neighborhood in
which the story takes place (Ramsey 315).
In Krush Grove, director Michael Shultz uses various musical performances to display the many aspects
of hip hop culture and the African American experience. Similar to Do The Right Thing, Krush Grove s
use of imagery and music help portray the ethic identities,

Introduction
The Mayor of Casterbridge is one of the masterpieces and the imperishable novel of Thomas Hardy,
although it has never enjoyed the popularity of Tess and Jude. Hardy was at the height of his creative
powers when he began work on it at the age of forty four. Initially, the novel appeared serially, in
twenty installments, in 1886 in an English periodical, The Graphic, and was published in book form in
1886 after revising for two or three times. The book appeared as soon as the serial publication was
complete but it differs a lot from the serial novel. It is a magnificent novel, although Hardy himself was
not entirely happy about it.
It was a story which Hardy fancied he had damaged more recklessly as an artistic whole, in the interest
of the newspaper in which it appeared serially, than perhaps any other of his novels, his aiming to get an
incident into each week s part causing him in his own judgment to add events to the narrative somewhat
too freely.1
On the first reading of the book, it seems to be a straightforward story but on deeper analysis one can see
that it is replete with symbols which have their own significance and that can be interpreted variously if
we analyze them as Thomas Hardy himself wrote while The Mayor of Casterbridge was coming out
serially that, My art is to intensify the expression of things...so that the heart and inner
Meeting Demi Lovato
Meeting, Demi Lovato, 21, In the perfectly landscaped land of Hollywood made it clear to me that she
really is a superstar. With her 10 Teen choice awards and her Latina attitude, she sat opposite me with
her blue locks and her winning smile, welcoming me to her office. Demi has recently helped host a
contest for the popular companies Acuvue, which hosted a 1 Day contest. Having just heard the news
that her song give your heart a break was to be appearing on Glee and that she landed a job on X
Factor, made me even more excited that I was going to be in her presence for the next hour or so. My
first impression of Demi was that she was quite shy, until she began laughing at the noise my chair
made as I nervously sat down. Embarrassing. But I knew that I was going to like this interview. I began
asking her about her experience in mentoring the contestants throughout the contest. Her answer was
motherly. She expressed that she felt good helping them out, encouraging them to come out of their
shell and to really push them towards their dreams. She mentioned her past and how she wished that
someone did that for her, then explaining how Acuvue were really sweet to her and how they are the
best contacts in the world. With this she smiled, and coffee was brought to her mahogany table. By far
the shiniest wooden desk I ve possibly ever seen. I continued the topic of Acuvue and asked if she had
the chance, would she ever let fans come backstage with you like she did with her
Apple Starbucks
Abstract
In 2007, Apple and Starbucks became partners in the venture of iTunes store. Over time, another entity
entered the equation, AT T. What does this mean to the customer, the dependability of each to provide
superior services to their respective products and services? As it is seen within the IT infrastructure, each
entity needs to present certain services to keep up the maintenance of the services on each level, to a
point to where one, in an ideal world, for logistical reasons, communicate with each other in case of
failure.
Starbucks
As was discussed previously, the partnership between Apple ITunes and Starbucks to develop the ITunes
store, has added, in fact, a third entity, AT T. AT T... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

It will also include business continuity and recovery consulting services and global program management
to plan, implement and coordinate service delivery. The vendor will additionally provide IT security
services for Starbucks North American operations. With Starbucks now handling the technology of

to outsource to another company to handle the technology of iTunes store. This in turn actually saves
them time and money.

Concerns of Bioterrorism
Issues/ Concerns of Bioterrorism US/Guam
What is Bioterrorism? What are the types of Bioterrorism? What issues or concerns should we be
aware of when talking about Bioterrorism? How is Bioterrorism different from the United States and
that of Guam? These are some of the things people would think of and wonder when they hear the
word Bioterrorism. It s important to know the different steps or precautions that a person can look into
in order to prevent themselves from being a victim of Bioterrorism. First things first, Bioterrorism is
defined as the intentional release of toxic biological agents to harm and terrorize civilians, in the name
of a political or other cause. The history of Bioterrorism goes way back. According to the Terrorism
Issues and Homeland Security, there have always been efforts to use germs and disease as weapons. The
reported risk has led the U.S. government to expend immense resources for bio defense in the early part
of the 21st century. According to Right Diagnosis from health grades, there was a list of the different
types of Bioterrorism and they are: Anthrax, Salmonella, Glanders, Melioidosis, and Smallpox.
Anthrax is an acute infectious disease caused by the spore forming bacterium Bacillus anthracis. This
disease mostly occurs in wild and domestic animals such as: antelopes, camels, cattle, goats, sheep, and
other herbivores, but can occur in human if they get in contact with the infected animal. Anthrax spores
are a form of bacteria that can
Communication Styles Are Direct And Indirect Communication
Two of the most prevalent forms of communication styles are direct and indirect communication; these
two communication styles impact how members of a culture interact with each other (Morreale Pearson,
2008). According to Craddock (2002), Kierkegaard, regarded direct communication, as the mode for
transferring information and considered it totally appropriate to the fields of history, science, and related
disciplines (p. 70). Direct communicationcan be defined as, speech that specifically states and directs an
action. When someone hears direct speech, they know immediately what needs to be done. There is no
question about who is in charge, and usually no need for discussion (Gaddis, 2006, p. 11). On the other
hand, Kiergaard believed that, the indirect was the mode for eliciting capability and action from within
the listener, a transaction that did not occur by giving the hearer some information (Craddock, 2002, p.
70). Unlike direct communication, a indirect style of speech is not typically authoritative, rather it
encourages input from the listener (Gaddis, 2006, p. 11). The direct and indirect communication styles
are often used in different fields, disciplines, and industries ranging from education, workplace, literature,
and entertainment, to church services (Morreale Pearson, 2008). For example, the population relies on the
news media as the main source of information and the basis on which they form their opinions and voting
decisions (Fog, 1999, p.
The Culture Of The Thule Culture
The Netsilik are an indigenous community that are descendants of the Thule culture, they reside North of
Hudson Bay, just above the Arctic circle. They call themselves the Netsilik or people of the seal because
of their unusual diet (Young, 1970). In his video Young states that, The winter months for the Netsilik
people starts in September and last right up until June, during these months the temperatures can range
anywhere from 30 50 degrees below 0 (1970). During the 2 3 months of warmer weather, the summer
tundra remains wet, since permafrost not far below the surface prevents drainage (Netsilik, n.d). This
causes the Netsilik to migrate frequently.
Their first encounter of non natives was in 1890, a meeting that was brief but would provoke further
meetings until the twentieth century. Interaction with other civilizations would only prove to advance
their own, for neighboring communities like the Iglulik introduced them to more advanced weaponry like
the rifle which eventually replaced their standard harpoon; thus making hunting much easier. Later on in
1920, trading posts were established, this completely changed their economy, for instead of white fox fur
trapping and trade, the Netsilik now would trade for additional items made by non natives, including
woolen clothing, tobacco, steel traps, fishing nets, canoes, tea, and canvas tents (Netsilik, n.d). Adding
these trading posts not only shows how adaptive the Netsilik are to other cultures, but it allowed them
