Gun Crime Solution
Reasons why we still do not have a viable solution to answer gun crime have to do with the politics
surrounding the issue of gun control. The politics to blame are highlighted in an article by The
Washington Post, In 1996, the Republican majority Congress threatened to strip funding from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unless it stopped funding research into firearminjuries
and deaths. The National Rifle Association accused the CDC of promoting guncontrol. As a result,
the CDC stopped funding gun control research. Also The National Institute of Justice, an arm of the
U.S. Department of Justice, funded 32 gun related studies from 1993 to 1999, but none from 2009 to
2012, according to Mayors Against Illegal Guns. The institute
Essay on Hair Loss Treatments
An effective hair loss treatment can proceed after indentifying the cause of hair loss.
Hair loss is a condition affecting both men and women. There are several causes of hair loss. In
men, hereditary factors play an important role in hair loss. Such a condition is termed as male
pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia. This is linked to elevated levels of DHT in the scalp. This
is characterized by hair loss in the temples and top regions of head and presence of thinning hairs
elsewhere.
Ageing also causes some hair loss naturally. The side effects of some drugs also results in hair loss.
They include medications used for the treatment of cholesterol levels, gout, ulcers, arthritis,
Parkinson s disease etc. hair loss is caused due ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Treatment must continue to indefinitely preserve hair growth.
Minoxidil is a hair loss treatment approved by the FDA and is applicable for both male and
females. Minoxidil helps in increasing the blood supply in areas where it is applied. Minoxidil acts
by dilating the blood vessels, which helps stimulate hair growth.
It increases the supply of nutrients to hair follicles and also prevents the shrinkage of hair follicles.
This helps in preventing hair loss and promotes hair re growth. Minoxidil helps in opening up the
potassium channels. This has been found for preventing hair loss in males and females.
Minoxidil acts best for hair loss occurring in the crown region of the scalp.
Effective hair loss treatment: Propecia
Propecia acts by blocking dihydrotestosterone (DHT) production. DHT has been identified to attack
and destroy hair follicle and results in its fall out. Propecia has been found to be effective for hair
growth in top and mid regions of the scalp.
It is advisable to take Propecia under the prior recommendation of a dermatologist. It is

Ebony Bellamy
If a stranger needed your help, would you sacrifice everything to save them? Or, would you avoid
getting involved and hope they figure things out on their own? This is precisely the inner struggle

Set in an old apartment building that is currently being renovated, Nieves has recently lost her
husband and is being threatened with eviction. With no place to go, she tries to convince her landlord
to let her have her husband s old job of cleaning and fixing things within the building. Hesitant to
give her the job because he feels it s meant for a man, he finally agrees. This job allows her to keep
her apartment but it also tests her morality and ability to speak up when someone is in trouble.
One day while cleaning a vacant apartment, a tenant comes to her complaining about roaches in her
apartment. The tenant believes they re coming from the apartment above hers. So, Nieves goes to
that apartment to spray chemicals to kill the roaches. But when she enters the apartment, she doesn
t find any bugs. She ends up finding a young girl locked in a room. Mortified by her find, she exits
the apartment and tells her boss about the girl. Angry she entered the apartment without his consent,
he tells her the girl isn t her problem and to focus on doing her job.

The War Of 1812 Was Terrible For Americans
1)Introduction a)The War of 1812 was terrible for Americans because of disunity and there was
no angry spirit like the Chesapeake incident, but nationalism emerged 2)On to Canada over Land
and Lakes a)The soldiers in the War of 1812 were ill trained and were not prepared for war. b)The
strategy used for attacking Canada was poorly planned because instead of attacking Montreal, the
center of population, the plan was spilt into 3 invasions of Detroit, Niagara, and Lake Champlain
c)The British and Canadians had captured the American fort at Michilimackinac that had
controlled the Great Lakes and the Indian area in the south and west, which was commanded by
Isaac Brock i)The control of Great Lakes was important, in which Oliver Hazard Perry built ships
on Lake Eerie and captured the British fleet ii) While the British were leaving Detroit and Fort
Malden, they were attacked by General Harrison s army at Battle of Thames d)There were some
improvements, such as the American navy having more success than the army and there were better
gunners e)Americans protected their own country against the conquering British. Napoleon was
exiled to Elba later and America was alone to face the war while more red coats went to Canada

impossible to stop until he turned the ship with cables, brining a victory home 3)Washington Burned

My Internship At The Superdome
Over the first month of my new internship, I had the opportunity to work on new projects and
experience many new things. For instance, my supervisor gave me the responsibility of inventing
a new program for the Superdome. When the idea was presented and approved, I then was in
charge of creating the marketing campaign. The new program was to introduce the idea of having
a company picnic or company outing at the Superdome to large corporations. They would be able
to rent out the entire Dome, 80,000 square feet of field space, as well as a party room and outdoor
fields to use for their employees and employees families. My first mission was to create a flyer for
which I could advertise the new program and event to the corporations. Draft... Show more content

For example, yesterday was the start of our Summer camps. Children have the option of paying
for lunch in the morning, $5 a day, or $20 for the week on Mondays. I was writing the names
down, indicating whether they paid for the day or the week. Today, Tuesday, I did the same
thing, however, I noticed it was difficult to find the names of the children who paid for the week
because it was not alphabetized. I also found it difficult to stay organized with people who were
paying for the rest of the week, for just that day, or who were checking in for their stamp.
Therefore, when all the commotion cleared from the lobby, I sat down and figured out a new
system to implement tomorrow, for a smoother, easier way of lunch check in. I also have noticed
that the Superdome can be unorganized in its staffing of coaches. A lot of the coaches are college
students and have all different schedules. Therefore, it is difficult to know who is coming in for
what event, and it is even more difficult to figure out who is coming in, if they are not already in,
when the time comes. My plan is to coordinate a system of staffing to distribute the most effective
and organized way of communication and efficiency. This way, all of the employees can know who
and when someone is
Oats In Canada
This article discusses the price movement of oats in Canada due to a shortage in supply. Two
major concepts present in the article is the law of supply and law of demand. The law of supply
states that there s a positive relationship between the price and quantity supplied of a good ceteris
paribus; as price increases, quantity supplied increases. The law of demand, states that there s a
negative relationship between the price and quantity demanded of a good ceteris paribus; as price
increases, quantity demanded decreases. Both laws involve ceteris paribus; all variables besides the
ones being studied are constant. The main reason for the rising price of oats is due to non price
determinants of supply; any variables other than price that causes... Show more content on

The change in supply results from a nonprice determinant; the rain and snow. Because of this, the
oat harvest has been delayed and farmers are unable to harvest as much as they were capable of
in previous years. Because oats are a primary commodity; a product produced in the primary
sector, they have a fairly inelastic demand because they are a necessity without many substitutes.
The change in prices will cause a drop in profits for farmers and producers. The poor weather
conditions also affects the quality of the oats as a result, more oats end up as food for the
livestock instead of being sent to producers who manufacture oat products. The supply curve shifts
leftwards and leads to an increase in price from P1 to P2 and a decrease in quantity supplied from
Q1 to Q2.
Figure B: Supply and Demand for Producers of Oat Products Figure B shows a leftward shift in the
supply curve from S1 to S2 for producers who require oats for production. Due to the non price
determinant that caused farmers to acquire less supply, this in turn results in a smaller supply for
the producers. Furthermore, a smaller supply means the prices of oats will rise and the producers
will require more money for production. This results in an increase in price from P1 to P2 and a
decrease in quantity supplied from Q1 to Q2.
Figure C: Consumer s Demand for Products with
The Consequences Of Elder Abuse
Psychiatrists are obliged to report when elder abuse is suspected or identified. Failure to report is
a lapse not only in ethical obligations but also has legal implications (1). APS is the single,
dedicated, authorized victim services system for elder abuse. It exists in every community in the
U.S, operating under state laws. APS receive reports of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation of
older people, and in most states, of younger adults with severe disabilities (3). Although older adults
tend be frequent visitors to the doctor office, physicians rarely report suspected abuse, because
bruising is common in elderly, but the Adult protective services workers have learned to be
suspicious of excessive or unusual bruising when they report... Show more content on

The Importance Of Banning Books
Should Schools Be Able To Ban Books? Now somewhere in America, there is a child holding a
copy of Catcher in the Rye and there is a child holding a gun But only one of these things have
been banned by their state government And it s not the one that can rip through flesh It s the one
that says f you on more pages than one Because we must control what the people say, and how
they think and if they want to become the overseer of their own selves, then we ll show them a
real one. And somewhere in America, there s a child sitting at his mother s computer, reading the

Constantine I Outline
Constantine I, a.k.a. Constantine the Great, was a Byzantine (or Eastern Roman) emperor who is
widely credited for the conversion of the empire to Christianity. Born on February 27 in c. 280 C.E.
in what is now called Serbia, he was originally named Flavius Valerius Constantinus after his father,
a renowned army officer. [ Constantine I] His death was on May 22, 337 C.E. in Ancyrona, Bithynia
(in present day Turkey). [ Constantine I ] Interestingly, when Flavius Valerius Constantinus (the
father) was appointed deputy emperor in the West, he left Constantine s mother to marry the
stepdaughter of Maximian. From there, the young Constantine was raised under emperor Diocletian
in the East. [ Constantine Biography ]
After rising to power as the sole emperor of Rome in 324 C.E, Constantine moved the capital city
from Rome to the site of ancient Byzantium, naming it Constantinople after himself. [ Heritage ]
Constantinople s biggest strategic advantage was that it was surrounded on all three sides by water.
Its position on the Bosporus Strait was easy to defend not only itself but parts of the eastern and
Danubian frontiers. [ Heritage ] With this change in location and that of system of ruling,
Constantine I established a period of unity and peace for Rome. However, though he ruled until his
death, the empire would only remain unified until the eighth century. [ Heritage ] ... Show more

Unfair Advantage: Testing the Advantage of Being Attractive in the Workforce The Halo Effect is
the cognitive bias that generalizes that if an individual has one outstanding favorable character trait,
the rest of that individual s trait will be favorable. Specific to physical attractiveness, this is known as
the Attractiveness Halo. Attractiveness plays an important role in determining social interactions. In
fact, the physical attractivenessof an individual is a vital social cue utilized by others to evaluate
other aspects of that individual s abilities (Kenealy, Frude, Shaw, 2001). Because of the attractiveness
halo, attractive applicants trying to enter the workforce tend to... Show more content on

The two applicants will vary in attractiveness. Attractiveness will be determined by the
averageness of a face; the more attractive face will be a compilation of the average of various
facial features common to the Anglo Saxon genetic disposition. Studies of compilations of
average facial traits show that we have a biological preference for the average phenotype because
we believe it indicates evolutionary resilient, fertile genotypes (Langlois, Roggman, 1990.) The
other profile will be composed of a person with facial features that deviate from the average
(example: wide set eyes, etc.) and as a result are found less attractive.
After evaluating both profiles, the employers would be asked to complete a brief questionnaire that
asks them the following: 1) Which of the two employees they would hire if they had a consultant
spot to fill, and 2) To estimate the undergraduate GPA of each of the applicants. The employers will
be instructed not to assign the same GPA applicants.
Expected Results and Discussion The number of employees choosing the attractive applicants over
the unattractive applicants and vice versa will be assessed through a chart and bar graph showing
attractiveness (independent variable) on the X axis, and chances of being hired (dependent

Raisio Group and the Benecol Launch Case Analysis Essay
Raisio Group and the Benecol Launch Case Analysis
Park University
Benecol was launched in 1955 by the company Raisio in Finland ( Benecol, 2010). Benecol has
become a successful additive to multiple product lines due to its unique ingredient of plant stanol
ester. The ingredient has been proven to reduce cholesterol levels and can easily be added to any
food (Grant, 2010). Raisio, up until 1997, produced much of the plant stanol it needed and was self
sufficient in its exploitation of stanol ester technology (Grant, 2010). Raisio then made the decision
to become part of Johnson Johnson in order to gain global marketing, manufacturing, and
distribution capabilities. Through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their success was based on its innovation to create technology to extract and produce the main
ingredient in Benecol. By using a differentiation advantage which singled them out in a very
specific market (foods that lower cholesterol) they were able to put plans in place to guarantee the
success of the product. By merging with J J, they create a large market for their product with
multiple distribution capabilities. Because differentiation is only affected when consumers are
made aware, Benecol was marketed widely to lower cholesterol and most people know it now as a
health food (Grant, 2010). The process of innovation and competition is also very important in the
position that Benecol is in its life cycle. The product began with short production runs, with limited
specialized distribution channels in 1996. It then emerged into the growth stage of its life cycle
when it partnered with J J to create multiple product lines, mass production, and competition for
distribution. Benecol seems to be in its Maturity stage at the present time, allowing for long
production runs, and distributors carrying fewer lines, due to economy and less demand for high
end food products (Grant, 2010). Because there are only a handful of companies that can create
products with plant stanol ester, Benecol is a leader in its innovation for the technology. Benecol is
also very well diversified, and it continues to create products that
Rotational Graz Research Paper
Understand the Importance and Benefits of Rotational Grazing Rotational grazing is a topic
frequently discussed among producers. When done well, it is a system that can improve the
functionality, sustainability and profitability of any farm or ranch. Geoffrey Morell, a well known
energy healer and nutritionist with over 20 years of experience in the field, is the co founder of
P.A. Bowen Farmstead, where he supports and promotes the idea of rotation crazing as a means to
boost grass fed, natural raised cattle farming. Rotational grazing includes moving livestock through a
series of compounds so that when they have completed grazing the last compound in the series, the
forage in the first compound has fully recuperated. Rotations are often
