Abc Triangle Research Paper
Since the mid 1980s, the three most powerful and wealthiest countries in South America have
experienced trends toward peace and stability. These countries are Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, also
known as the ABC Triangle. However, relations among the ABC powers were not always cordial;
from rivalry and conflict to alliance and camaraderie, this intertwining and complex relationship has
spanned centuries. Given the anarchic structure of the international system, how and why did peace
unfold? Scholars believe that as a result of democratization, international institutions, and economic
interdependence, cooperation and nonviolence has emerged among the ABC Triangle. By applying
one of the major paradigms of international relations, liberalism,
Annie Oakley As A Feministist
Annie Oakley expressed, I would like to see every woman know how to handle [firearms] as
naturally as they know how to handle babies. (Kasper, 215) This unyielding truth can be uttered by
anyone, anywhere. However, Annie Oakley was not just anyone she was a remarkably talented
female sharpshooter. She was one of a kind. Oakley was a petite woman, only 5 feet tall and arguably
120 pounds, her diminutive stature made her stand out in the predominantly male world of
sharpshooting. Throughout her career, Annie proved many spectators wrong in their assumptions of
a femaleshooter. Oakley should be considered a modern feminist because she created an outlet for
sportswomen that didn t exist. Oakley opened doors with her talent, graceful Victorian style and
philanthropy for women s economic and social equality.
Early on, Annie s family was quite large, she was the fifth of seven surviving children. Annie s father
would hunt while her mother tended to the house. Annie enjoyed going out hunting with her father,
and shooting came very natural to her. At the young age of eight years old, Annie began shooting
and trapping small game. In 1866, her father died of pneumonia. Unable to support her children,
Oakley s mother, sent her to the live at the Darke County Infirmary. Also known, as the county
poor house when she was 9 years old. Annie worked as a servant, doing chores and caring for
children. At the age of 12, she ran away and went back home. Her mother and siblings still
The Muhammad Is The Messenger Of God
All faithful Muslims are called to pray in Cairo. The song on the video is the call that sounds five
times a day every day in cities across the world. Nearly a quarter of the people on earth respond to it
with the enduring spirit of Islam. The video states that in the Islam religion, Mohammed is the
Messenger of God. The Islamic civilization has been one of the humanity s grandest achievements, a
worldwide power founded simply on faith, a spiritual revolution that would shape the nations of
three continents, and launch an Empire. For the West, much of the history of Islamhas been obscured
behind a veil of fear and misunderstanding. It was Muslim scholars who retained the wisdom of the
Greeks while Europe languished in the dark ages. It was Muslims who sowed the seeds of the
Renaissance 600 years before the birth of Leonardo Da Vinci. From the way they heal the sick to
the numerals they use for counting, cultures across the globe have been shaped by the Islamic
civilization. However, all this began with an ordinary man and the profound message he proclaimed
would change the world forever. His name was Mohammed.
To Muslims, the life of Muhammad is a story revealed. Muhammad was born in or around 570 AD
in the sun blasted Arabian Peninsula, a land of scarcity whose tribes were always in a state of war.
While still an infant, Muhammad s parents gave him his first tasteful of life in the dessert.
Muhammad was from a town named Mecca, but he was sent off to live with the better
Heroism In Louisiana
The residents of Louisiana that adhere to the Tea Party highly value Christianity. From the high
number of church goers that mark church as a central social space, to the understanding of their time
here on earth as limited the pollution that burdens them here will not carry over to eternal paradise
the Louisiana residents lives are replete with embedded forms of Christian identity reproduction
(Hochschild 135). This high value of Christianityis one of the reason why the residents hold strong
enmity towards the federal government. Many resonated with Madonna Massey s sentiment that
things regulate themselves and that God will take care of the rest. Government was simply
competing with God s mandate (Hochschild 73). Nevertheless, the endurance required to reject the
overwhelming force that is government, is another value that the Louisiana residents cherish.... Show

This umbrella of endurance is represented by three branches: Loyalist, Worshipper, and Cowboy.
Each an expression of a self rooted in heroism (Hochschild 90). Interestingly enough, through the
interactions with Mike Schaff, a fourth strand of endurance is seen to emerge that represents
different aspects of Loyalist and Cowboy that aim to combat/fight against environmental degradation.
The nuances in the forms of endurance show the value of endurance in the many forms of identity
and community for the people of Louisiana. Furthermore, the values of Tea Party, Louisiana folk do

the harem of the king as it is supposed to be the best possible place for the king to hide at a time
of danger. The king can get his personal chamber located in the midst of the harem. Also Kautilya
takes full care to check the purity of the queen as well as all the women living in the harem. The
harem should primarily consist of separate chambers for all, a bath, secret passages made into the

A Black And White And Silent Movie Released
Sherlock Jr. is a black and white and silent movie released in 1924. Bister Keaton was responsible
for direction and performance in the forty nine minutes long movie. As the main protagonist,
Keaton is a projectionist in a theater and also longing to be a detective. However, when he is
framed by the local sheik at the home of the girl he likes, the naïve projectionist is unable to prove
his innocence by evidences and leaves. Projecting the movie in the theater, he has a dream of
arresting the annoying criminal, who makes him be a disgraceful person in the front of the family.
On the other hand, in reality, the kind hearted girl solves the problems and forgives the young man.
The clip starts from 10:30 to 12:00, projecting the moment when... Show more content on

The next shot records the facial expression of the local sheik, who steals the pocket watch from the
old man, with a medium close up from a slightly low angle. Then, the camera pans to the right a
little bit when the villain walks to the back of the seated Sherlock, peeking the detective book.
Apparently, the sheik worries that the young man book might discover his evil deed with the aid
of the book. Following the sight of the man, the eye line match offers a close up of the book that
reveals the steps of being a detective to Sherlock. The next shot even further closes up with extra
attention to the first step: [r]ule 1: [s]earch [e]verybody (Keaton, Sherlock Jr.). In the eighth shot,
the camera refocuses on the two men with a medium shot, disclosing the secret movement of the
villain, and Sherlock is still reading his tutorial book on the sofa. The camera slightly pans to the
left as the villain walking to the curtain. In this ninth shot, a medium shot with a straight angle
shows the viewers an overall circumstance in the room. At two side of the curtain, four members
of the family are arguing on one side; the villain keeps his eyes on them silently, and Sherlock still
watches his book. The tenth shot immediately returns to the face of the villain with a medium close
up from a slightly low angle and the music keeps speeding up gradually. After sneaking a peek at
Sherlock, a title card describes the suggestion of
The Rhetorical Analysis Of The King s Speech
In the film The King s Speech , written by David Seidler and released on November 26, 2010, the
filmmaker portrays Albert being constantly under pressure for speaking correctly, by comparing his
speech to great broadcasters who are anything but great leaders. The pressure that comes from Albert
s father, King George V, results in more frustration for the both of them, without either of them
realising that to lead a country into greatness depends more on just speaking well. Throughout the
film, there had been ideal speechmodels like Hitler, David, and King George V, shown in order to
compare their speech to Albert s and to show what a great speaker has to sound in order to gain
the public s support. Ironically, all of those speech perfect models turned out to be egocentric
individuals and the least egotistical leader, Albert, is the one with the impaired speech. I argue
that in The King s Speech , the characters who serve as models of ideal speech are figures of
oppression, therefore the author is implying that the idea of having ideal speech does not live up to
it s praise.
Oppressive leaders like Hitler have used public speaking in order to bring destruction to the world
like war. In the scene when the royal family is watching him on the projector, Hitler is controlling
a mass army while speaking with a powerful tone in a fast and concise pace. Hitler s body language
also represents the intensity of his message to his country by pointing his fingers vigorously. The
The Starry Night
The Starry Night The starry night is painting by Vincent van Goh done in 1889. The painting is
inspired by the night view. It is a painting that was done by oil on canvas just as the way traditional
paintings are done. However, the starry night was not painted at night as expected. It was done
during day using van Goh s imagination. According to van Goh, he always expressed his liking to
draw a painting portraying the sky at night. Van Goh s works on the starry nightwas inspired by the
night skies and surroundings of the asylum where he was receiving treatment due to breakdowns
(Brooks, 2012). The title of the painting, the starry night , goes hand in hand with what the
painting tries to describe. The painting reflects emotions and expressiveness. A group of curvy
black lines that seem to originate from a point dominate the left side of the painting. There is a
town on the lower right that extends up to the hills. As the title goes, the painting is set at night.
The sky has been done in a swirl that bursts out in to blues, greens and gentle yellow. The center
part of the painting is the moon which is shown by a yellow dot. The dark lines that stark up on the
right side tend to stand for a plant. The town is marked by small dots on the houses perhaps showing
electricity lights or lamp lights sealing the fact that painting setting is night time. The objective of
the painter was to depict the night time in a small town. The painting has its kind of mystery
because of
A National Profile Of Family And Unpaid Caregivers
In the U.S., there is an essential population of informal caregivers that devote a significant amount
of time and resources to caring for older adults with impairments. However, due to the informal
nature of these caregiver relationships, there is a lack of knowledge and understanding of this
population. In A National Profile of Family and Unpaid Caregivers Who Assist Older Adults with
HealthCare Activities (2016) , Wolff and colleagues highlight the importance of understanding the
responsibilities of caregivers and how this may affect their own health, as well as the need to
identify the basic characteristics of informal caregivers. Therefore, the primary objective of this
study by Wolff and colleagues (2016) was to characterize the common responsibilities of caregivers,
their utilization of supportive services, as well as to identify the effects of caregiver related
responsibilities on their health. Ultimately, this information may inform future public healthservices
and health care systems to provide much needed support and resources to these caregivers.
In order to address the study objectives, Wolff and colleagues (2015) developed multiple outcomes
to characterize informal caregivers. To evaluate the health and wellbeing of caregivers, the primary
outcomes were self reported financial, emotional, and physical difficulties that were related to
caregiving activities. Additional indicators of health and wellbeing among caregivers that were
utilized as primary outcomes
