Demographic Trends And Apple Watch
Demographic Trends Apple Watch Over the next 40 years, the United States will become older
and more diverse. The population will still largely be White and Hispanic (US Census, 2012).
According to the projections, the population age 65 and older is expected to more than double
between 2012 and 2060, from 43.1 million to 92.0 million. The older population would represent
just over one in five U.S. residents by the end of the period, up from one in seven today. The
increase in the number of the oldest old would be even more dramatic those 85 and older are
projected to more than triple from 5.9 million to 18.2 million, reaching 4.3 percent of the total
population (US Census, 2012). I do not believe this will affect Apple; they will be the head of
their industry and continue to make advancements in technology. Despite the elderly population
growing over time, these elderly will be the generation who grew up with Apple products.
Therefore a decline in sales with the elderly population increasing. With the diverse population,
Apple products will still trend upward because across the board these products are sold.
Economic Trends Apple Watch Right now, the dollar is worth more, gas is cheaper, and jobs are
on the rise (depending on whom you talk to). In a growing or steady economy Apple has the
products that people are willing to spend their extra money on. If the market crashes again or goes
into a downhill spiral as it did in 2008, then Apple s sales would
Ear Infections
Young children and adults are capable of communicating problems that they are experience, but
your baby will need to show physical signs that they are in pain due to ear infections.
Unfortunately, many parents are unable to read this signs, which can cause the infection to
spread, leading to more painful medical conditions. If you are a parent to a baby that is
displaying the following signs, consult a doctor immediately for effective treatment of their
infection. Irritability Babies will become irritable when they are hungry, sleepy, or gassy. In
addition, your baby will be fussy if their diaper needs to be changed. If you have addressed these
issues and your baby still seems cranky, there may be an underlying health problem to address. Ear

Strategic Location And Energy Reserves
During his keynote address at the opening of the 30th Asia Pacific roundtable, Malaysian Prime
Minister said, We will continue to rely on diplomacy and dialogue to peacefully resolve difference
and disputes. We will do so in accordance with and in adherence to the norms, customs, and
principles of international law (Cheng, 2016). Disputes in the SCS have been a long standing issues
amongst claimants such as Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Republic
of China. Apart from territorial disputes, the SCS holds a critical geostrategic importance due to its
strategic location and energy reserves (Kaplan, 2011). Increased of China assertive action in the
SCS and reclamation work in Spratlys has disturbed the SCS claimants and its users. In early 2013,
Philippines have initiated an arbitration case against China over maritime disputes in the South
China Seaat the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague (Xue Lei, 2016). Indonesia recently
involved with the SCS disputes when Chinese fishing vessel encroached into Natuna Islands waters
and Indonesian war ship has fired a warning shot toward the Chinese fishing vessel. Subsequently the
Indonesian president visited Natuna Islands and held a meeting onboard the war ship as to send a
stern warning about the country s commitment to protecting its sovereignty (Gomez, 2016). In
addition to that, the United Statesinterest in the freedom of navigation with the rebalancing strategy

Essay On Wound Infection
Abstract
Post surgical infections and complications are a major problem for patients and hospitals. Post
surgical complications can reach as high as 66% for high risk patients. Surgical site infections and
other complications delay recovery of the patient resulting in longer hospital stays and increased
healthcare costs. Does the use of closed incision negative pressure therapy dressings on post surgical
patients reduce wound infections and other complications verses traditional dressings? Does the use
of closed incision negative pressure therapy (CiNPT) dressings on post surgical patients reduce
wound infections and other complications verses traditional dressings? Post surgical infections and

Dr. Cooper s study of revision hip and knee surgery performed between October 2012 and August
2015 on 102 patients who underwent a total of 138 major hip or knee procedures. Twenty six of
the 102 patients underwent multiple procedures either for an unrelated procedure on the
contralateral extremity. Some of these were planned as part of a staged approach and some were
unplanned re operations due to complications. Each operation was counted separately in the
outcome analysis. Closed incision negative pressure (CiNPT) therapy dressings were used in 30
cases and anti microbial dressings (AMDs) were used in 108 (Cooper Bas 2015).
Data was collected from inpatient progress notes, outpatient progress notes, operative reports and
anesthesia records. In all instances the same standard AMD was used. This dressing has been
shown to decrease the risk of acute infection after total joint arthroplasty compared to dry gauze
dressings. The AMD was left in place for a minimum of 5 days unless it became saturated and
required a premature dressing change (Cooper Bas 2015).
The study results favored the CiNPT dressings. Out of the 108 AMD patients20 (18.5%) developed
a PJI. Only 1 of the CiNPT developed an infection or a rate of less than 1 percent (Cooper Bas 2015).
Two studies performed on abdominal surgery patients confirm the findings of the above
How Wrestling Has Affected My Life
Wrestling has impact my life in so many ways. From the coaches, teammates, family and friends
supporting me all the way. I have learned many life values from wrestling.
Wrestling is a very challenging sport it is extremely physical as well as mentally challenging. I feel
wrestling has prepared me for the rest of my life because all that comes with wrestling can be applied
to life. You need to be dedicated to succeed in wrestling just like in life. You have to have good work
ethic, physical strength, confidence, discipline, mental toughness as well as good goal setting.
Even though I ve never reached States in High School I was very happy to achieve what I have
achieved. I started out as a JV wrestler my freshman year and by my senior year I was a district
champion. Every year I set new goals for myself to improve and get better every year to reach
higher and higher and I did. I have applied that same mental mentality with my school work. ... Show

I won more than I have lost but, when I lost I learn to hold my head up high and respect myself.
Even though I was disappointed In losing my teammates, coaches and my family were they re giving
me support, and that helped me bounce back and move on to my next match and improve that one.
Iam a very disciplined wrestler a worked year round going to wrestling camps, wrestling off
season and putting hours into working out. My senior year in high school I had to be very
disciplined I wrestled 126 weight class and had to really maintain that weight sometimes it was
hard but I would put in that extra hour on the treadmill just to maintain that 126 weight. And like I
said before I apply that same skill set to my school work I would put in the extra hours when I was
having trouble or just needed extra help learning what I was not
Analyzing The Movie The Freedom Writers
The film that I chose to analyze is The Freedom Writers. This movie is about Erin Gruwell
portrayed by Academy Award winner Hilary Swank, whose passion to become a teacher is soon
challenged by a group of Black, Latino and Asian gang members who hate her even more than they
hate each other. Erin begins to understand that these kids are not delinquents and gives them
something they never had from a teacher before respect. For the first time, these teens experience a
hope that they actually matter. Defined by O Hair and Wiemann in the text, Real Communication:
An Introduction (2012), the following concepts are exemplified in the film as: 1.Hostile Audience

One prominent scene in the movie clearly shows this theory. When Mrs. Gruwell uses an activity
called the Line Game for the students to become more familiar with each other. By looking at the
movie, the objective of the game is to split the students with a line. While the students face each
other, the teacher will ask a series of questions if the questions pertain to you step up to the line. To
use Intergroup Contact Theory, you need to have contact with people who are different from you,
you [then] realize that the expectations you had about them might be incorrect (O Hair Wiemann,
p.90). The Line Game helped to show the commonalities between all of the students, thus showing
the students that they were wrong in their judgment of the others in the
Horse Artificial Insemination
Selective breeding in animals is the process is which humans select certain animals to breed with
each other in order for the offspring to have certain phenotypic traits. This also encompasses artificial
embryo selection in which humans actively select embryos with have the genes for the phenotypic
traits they desire in the offspring. Throughout history horses have been selectively bred to work for
and with humans, beginning over 3000 years ago before humans knew about genetic heritability.
Many horses are bred to perform better on the racetrack, however this comes at a cost for the
individual horses. Artificial Insemination: Artificial insemination (AI) is a technique which aims to
maintain and establish certain traits in offspring. Horse... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many generations must be bred to understand the heritability of the certain trait that breeders are
looking at. This is a slow process and can take many months since the offspring have to have
offspring of their own and so on. As more breeding for superior traits occurs, bloodlines get
superior, more so than the original stock. Bloodlines within breeds become more and more
specialised in a certain behaviour or performance due to intense selective breeding. Racehorses
are bred for speed, but this is often at the expense of bone strength. In the past horses were bred
for their specific type of races, so they different frequencies of alleles. Nowadays the trend is to
breed a horse that will excel in all activities. This one size fits all horse is achieved by a certain
degree of inbreeding, and trait selection. This decreases the amount of genetic variation in the gene
pool of the whole population, which has been identified as inbreeding depression. When genetic
variation decreases, often necessary alleles are lost. This has causes an increase in health problems
in racehorses, such as sore shins, respiratory disease, joint problems, susceptibility to fractures,
degenerative cartilage, and soft tissue damage. This reduced biological fitness can significantly
shorten the lives of the horses and the population may
Liquid Chromatography Lab
Chromatography is a technique used to separate a mixture of compounds for analytical or
preparative purposes. In liquid chromatography, the mixture of compounds is dissolved in a liquid
mobile phase and then travels through a stationary phase, which acts as the adsorbent. Solute
molecules interact with the stationary phase through adsorption and desorption. A compound which
has stronger interactions with the stationary phase will move slower than a compound with weaker
interaction with the stationary phase. The components of a mixture are separated based on their
differences in mobility. Usually the stationary phase is a polar porous compound, such as silica gel,
which has a large surface area and hydroxyl groups, giving it the ability to... Show more content on

Ortho hydroxyacetophenone travelled higher up the silica gel TLC plate than its para counterpart
because ortho was less polar and formed fewer interactions with the silica gel adsorbent. Ortho
hydroxyacetophenone formed intramolecular hydrogen bonds between its carbonyl and hydroxyl
groups. Para hydroxyacetophenone formed intermolecular hydrogen bonds with its carbonyl and
hydroxyl group. P hydroxyacetophenone was more polar, so it travelled a shorter distance up TLC
plate due to its many interactions with polar silica gel. Polar compounds have stronger dipole dipole
interactions which require more energy and higher temperatures to melt, accounting for p
hydroxyacetophenone s high melting point. Unknown #16 contained the compounds acetaminophen,
caffeine, and acetylsalicylic acid. The distances acetylsalicylic acid and ibuprofen travelled along
the silica gel plate were very similar, but since the Rf value of the unknown was closer to
acetylsalicylic acid than to ibuprofen, it was determined that acetylsalicylic acid was one of the
unknown compounds. Since ibuprofen and acetylsalicylic acid travelled the greatest distance up the
TLC plate, they had the least amount of attraction to the silica gel plate, making them the least polar
solutes. For column chromatography, unknown #16 contained 0.0457g ferrocene, 0.0137g 9
fluorenone, and 0.0114g acetylferrocene. Their mass percentages were 44.15%, 13.24%, and
11.01%, respectively, determined from a total of 0.1035g of the compound mixture. Ferrocene, 9
fluorenone and acetylferrocene had melting points of 174 175̊C, 83 86̊C, and 83 85̊C, respectively.
The mixture after evaporation accounted for roughly 68% of the original mixture. This was mainly
due to product loss from keeping only the pure test tubes. Based on the amount of product obtained,
unknown #16 consisted of mostly ferrocene, and least of
What Is Tarantino s Pulp Fiction
Tarantino s Pulp Fiction is a fusion of Alfred Hitchcock and Jean Luc Godard because he creates a
style different from conventional movies of the 1980s. Godard and Hitchcock are known for their
outlandish, but revolutionary plays on storytelling. Tarantino does not abide by any rules in his film.
The film has three different stories that are intertwined to create one film. Tarantino borrows this
technique from Hitchcock. Bates Motel displays the story of Marion dies in the first 40 minutes ,
Norman Bates, and Marion s sister and husband. Somehow, both filmmakers are able to make
things work that most filmmakers would fail at. The use of episodic like films is prevalent in
Hitchcock s film who originally worked on television shows. The curiosity
