Neolithic Revolution Key Concepts
Key Concept 1.2. The Neolithic Revolution and Early Agricultural Societies

II. Agriculture and pastoralism began to transform human societies.

B. Technological innovations led to improvements in agricultural production, trade, and
transportation. Pottery improved agricultural production because it gave a way to store a surplus of
food. As agriculture continued to develop, pots were used to store foods and wines. For example, in
China the pots were used for storage and for religious purposes referring to afterlife.
Plows were a very useful tool in early agriculture. They turned the soil which led to less work done
by the workers to prepare for planting. The plow was very beneficial because it led to a surplus of

It provided tools for other jobs such as farming and weapons. Bronze was a major breakthrough for
metallurgy because it allowed for the creation of useful weapons and developed agriculture.
The wheel was invented by people in Mesopotamia , which later allowed for the transport of goods
and trades. The Hitties also later developed a chariot which was a wheeled vehicle used for
transportation and for fighting battles.

Key Concept 1.3. The Development and Interactions of Early Agricultural, Pastoral, and Urban
Societies

II
C. Pastoralists were often the developers and disseminators of new weapons and modes of
transportation that transformed warfare in agrarian civilizations.
Pastoralists were the developers of compound bows and iron weapons which transformed the
warfare society. The iron weapons were very strong and were easy to mass produce. The compound
bows were an advance over simple bows and allowed to set a target with more accuracy and force.

Pastoralists also developed horse back riding and chariots . Chariots allowed for a mass amount of
goods to be transported without much of a hassle . Also horseback riding allowed for goods to be
transported as well.

III. Culture played a significant role in unifying states through laws, language, literature, religion,
myths, and monumental
Monkey Vacationing At Panama City Beach
Monkey With A Mission

Vacationing at Panama City Beach was always a summer tradition for my family. Somewhere, and I
will find it soon, is a photo of my mother sitting in this very monkey s hand the photo was from the
1960 s.

When we moved here in July, I saw this monkey, which I immediately recognized. Back in my parent
s day, photos weren t taken with I Phones and the photos were not as prevalent. So, the monkey,
located on Panama City Beach, may not mean anything to anyone but me.

This monkey is on a mission for me. This monkey represents a a piece of my childhood and a link
to my past that I can no longer touch as my mother passed away on April 10, 2014.

This monkey serves as a reminder of the old Panama City Beach the one that
Dendrimers Research Paper
Dendrimers

Dendrimers are 3D polymers with spherical, highly branched structures. Polyesters, polyamines, and
polyamides are commonly used; however, polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers are the most
frequently used due to their high transfection efficiency. The transfection efficiency is highly
influenced by the size of dendrimers and the type of amine groups that they are composed of. The
primary amine groups participate in DNA binding, so they promote DNA cellular uptake. However,
the tertiary amino groups reinforce the release of DNA into the cytoplasm because they act as a
proto sponge in endosomes. Transfection efficiency can be enhanced by increasing the size and
diameter of the dendrimers. One example of dendrimer DNA complexes is nitrogen core
Television In The 1960 s
Television in the 1960s brought Americans closer through the stories and tragedies they experienced.
As televisions became more mainstream and affordable, more people invested in them. The time
was right for the industry to flourish. Between 1959 and 1970, the percentage of households in the
U.S. with at least one TV went from 88% to 96% (Ganzel). More people buying TVs meant that the
industry grew and the technology could improve. As satellite technology developed, it became
inevitable for satellite televisionto develop. The biggest leap of 1960s television technology wise,
was satellite usage (Thompson). With TV signals that could reach far, and a TV in almost every
American home, people felt more connected to the world around them. They... Show more content on

News programs in the 60s were a major selling point in buying a television. Part of television s
success is due to the news being so relevant and reliable. In the 50s and 60s, news on the
television made very informative and relevant content (Ganzel). Television in the 60s had many
fandoms and communities for its popular shows, such as Star Trek. When many people have
similar interests or like the same thing, they usually get along. When Star Trek first aired, it wasn
t very popular. However, it has since gained a cult following and remains a very active franchise to
today (Feinstein, 12) Television in the 1960s opened a door to a source of information and
entertainment like never before. One of reasons Americans are so united today is because television
in the 60s showed people what they had in common. Television signals weaved in and out of
America, sewing us together and patching our
The Tragedy Of William Shakespeare s The Crucible
Act Three has ended and Elizabeth has been imprisoned for witchcraft soon after the hysteria began.
The frigid, unilluminated cell, with its harsh stone walls surrounds Elizabeth, alongside her
depressive, lonely thoughts. The only light permitted to enter the claustrophobic room bleeds in
through the cracks around the perimeter of the wooden, bolted doorframe. Elizabeth sits hunched
over in the farthest corner from the door. Dust covers the useless, ragged blanket that is the only
possession she has been allowed to have. Her eyes are dim and hopeless. She reflects solemnly on
her situation and how she came to be here.

Elizabeth Proctor: [whispering] What have I ever done to deserve this treatment? What crime have I
ever committed? Why am I convicted of this ungodly crime? [Raises her voice slightly with disdain
and conviction.] Witchcraft! What nonsense. The whole town is mad because of a few silly,
manipulative girls convicting innocents of witchcraft, and with no evidence! People are being
hanged for crimes they did not commit! I am only here because of that silly poppet that Mary
Warren gave to me, though I would not be surprised if Abigail was involved, though that is another
matter entirely. As if a poppet is proof enough that I am a witch. As if pointing fingers and calling
names is enough to prove that one is a witch.

[Elizabeth stands and starts to pace the inadequate length of the room. Lists on her fingers] I believe
in many things. I believe God is our Father
Informative Speech on Swimming Essay
Swimming

General Purpose: To inform

Method of Organization: Topical

Introduction

I. (Gain attention and interest) I remember joining the high school swim team back in my
sophomore year. I remember struggling to catch a breath in between every stroke while
simultaneously trying not to breath in any water. To be honest, swimming scared me, but drowning
scared me more.

III. (Establish credibility) Even though the risk of drowning may seem daunting, ... Show more

In 1873, this hybrid stroke became known as the Trudgen stroke.
4.Trudgen effectively changed England s swimming styles from endurance based to more speed
based. iv. Another swimming pioneer, Fredrick Cavill , helped further develop Trudgen s stroke into
an even faster stroke known as the front crawl (livestrong.com).
1.He was an Englishman and a notable swimmer who emigrated to Australia.
2.Like Arthur Trudgen, Cavill observed the natives of the Solomon Islands and found that Trudgen s
stroke would have been significantly faster if he would have incorporated the native s kicking action.
3.Cavill refined the native s stroke and taught it to his sons, one of which would later use the stroke
in a competition in England.
4.Since England was still using the Trudgen stoke, Cavill s son Richard, destroyed his competition
with the more efficient stroke, which he described as, crawling through the water
(usaswimming.org). Hence, the name front crawl.

2.As I previously mentioned, I will describe the four basic strokes that swimming consists of, such as
the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly

A Christmas Carol

From the perspective of Bob Cratchit

Times are hard, and life is tough, but the Cratchit Family always seems to pull through. There is
Mrs. Cratchit, Martha, Belinda, Peter, Matthew, Lucy, Timothy, and I (Bob Cratchit). Timothy,
or as we call him, Tiny Tim , is a very special child. He suffers from rickets but always seems to be
the happiest child in London. We would love to pay for his treatment but we simply can t afford

I told Scrooge that I would be there early the morning after christmas, I rushed to the office as
quick as I could. I tried to slip in but scrooge was not so easily deceived, he called me to his desk. I
answered to him and he was displeased with my late appearance, he seemed cross. He stood up
from his desk and said he needed to do something about this, so he raised my salary, I was
confused. He walked towards me laughing, saying he wanted to do anything he could to help my
family. Who is this new Scrooge? This is not the man I knew, but he was true to his word. He
raised my pay and we had the opportunity to pay for Timothy s treatment. Scrooge became like a
