An Analysis of the Australian Curriculum
Introduction
With the introduction of the Australian National Curriculum into all education systems across the
country, many questions and debates have occurred in reference to its effectiveness. From the often
perceived conflicting curriculum definitions to the unfortunate failures of past attempts of
curriculum implementation, every member of the community has an opinion on this significant shift
in the way Australia thinks of its children s education (Rudd, 2007). The Australian Curriculum
however, has attempted to provide answers to these misgivings and societal concern, from an easy to
use website interface, transparent developmental process and state/ territory inclusion of common
educational individualities. The Australian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Australian political structure and the level of authority the federal government has over state
/territory and independent organisations over educational policy, may have been a contributing
factor for this lack of committed development and intended eventual nationwide implementation
(Marsh, 2010). Learning from previous governments attempts implementing a national curriculum,
the federal government from 2009, enacted a series of shaping reforms, with the aim of successfully
gaining support and legal authority over the implementation of a national curriculum (Marsh, 2010).
The request for state/territory appointed representatives, statements of open consultation in
development, through to what Brady and Kennedy (2010) refer to as hard policy , including the
establishment of ACARA as a statutory body over all manner of educational policy and the linking
of funding repercussions to the implementation of the Australian Curriculum (Schools Assistance
Bill, National Education Agreement) has led to all educational organisations agreeing to the use of
the impending curriculum documents.
Brady and Kennedy (2010) state that no single form of curriculum model is commonly used by
developers, therefore using specific components of different models and designing a process that
works for the organisation or individuals intent. As such the Australian Curriculum developers
External Factors Affecting Mike s Delivery Service
The business or organization that I am affiliated with and run on a daily is Mike s Delivery
Service. We are a successful business that has been owned and operated by me for the last ten
years in total with a lot of ups and downs in the past two years due to an insufficiency in developing
a proper plan via Human Resources as well as conducting an analysis environmentally. The factors
that internally and externally affect my business have grown and it s time to get up to speed on
planning effective managementplan to factor in things that can positively and negatively affect my
business on an everyday basis. Some of the factors that affect my business and my overall success
as an owner operator is the employees I hire to help conduct operations. Without proper training to
these employees, the overall satisfaction rate of my customers goes downhill due to the lack of
knowledge my employees have. Proper training will and should fix these problems internally as well
as implementing a strategic Human resource plan. The ability to effectively communicate a... Show

Personal Narrative-My Hero s Journey To Freedom
We watch Him gain His power legally, through the system. We watch as He turns us against the
ones we used to call our friends. We watch Him use the Proclamation, a way to weed out those
who didn t agree with His philosophies. We watch those that fight disappear. We watch others try to
seek refuge, only to be sent back. We watch other countries turn their backs to us like we did them.
We watch as we slowly, but surely, end up alone.
Through all this, I try and work by myself. After the last attempt, most people are too afraid to try
and rebel publicly, so we hide in the shadows. My main goal for months has been to recruit those on
the outskirts of society and send them the resistance s way. The scientists, the activists, the ones with

We went in the opposite direction, my legs struggling to keep up with the Rangers. The further into
the building we got, the more careful he became.
We are way past the interrogation rooms. If anyone saw us now it would raise suspicions. But we
just have the next hallway to go and then we re at the R.O.O.M. The R.O.O.M. The Room of
Obstructing the Oppositions Movements is the battleground against the resistance. This is where
every decision in the war is made.
This is so surreal I stood gazing at the ornamental door at the end of the hall. Like everything else
it s covered in fake gold, faintly glistening from the ceiling lights. Slowly we walk up to it, keeping
ears out for the sound of footsteps. The Ranger hides me from sight, forcing me in between a large
table and the wall. He slowly puts his thumb on the scan pad next to the door, waiting for it to grant
him access. There is no beep.
What? I was just here a week ago, what changed? I hear two guards approaching, and my heart
stops. I wedge myself closer against the wall, desperately trying to stay out of sight. I can see
nothing, only
Ethical Responsibilities At The Termination Of Their Group
.54#2. What are your ethical responsibilities to group members at the termination of their group?
Explain As a group leader, I have a myriad of ethical responsibilities to the group members,
especially at the closing of the group. I need to exercise due diligence by using sound professional
judgement to make sure each of my clients have some form of closure before they leave the group.
In order to facilitate and prepare the group members for closure, I wantto address three main points; I
want to consolidate what they learned in the group, understand what they will do with what they
learned, and how will they continue receiving support. Each member should share during this time.
By consolidating what these men learned in this group, we will be able to understand where each
member stands. In this group, members should have learned how to deal with their stress levels and
find meaning in their diagnosis. Ethically, I needto recap during the last sessions with the clients to
remind them what they have learned so the group experience was not for naught. Accordingly, I want
to summarize with the group what they learned about the challenges of being HIV positive while
encouraging them to use the skills they learned in the group outside of the group, while keeping the
confidentiality of the group members. Accordingly with my facilitation, the clients should explore
and summarize for themselves what they learned and how they have changed in the group over the
past twelve weeks.
The Problem With Public Shaming
Most people believe that public humiliation is cruel and unusual punishment, yet it seems to be
the only thing working. Doxxing is when you take someone s personal info info such as social
security numbers or address and post it for the world to see. Some people still see doxxing as
ineffective and just flat out wrong as discussed Cole Stryker in The Problem with Public Shaming
written in The Nation, Stryker notions that public shaming doesn t work and that people need to
talk about its effects on people all around the world. Stryker discusses how doxxing and Scarlet
Letters are one in the same and are equally bad to do, he even And when it slithers its tentacles in a

The only thing Stryker and I can agree is the old way of public shaming doesn t work. In this day
and age, you can t do things like that anymore, as it simply doesn t work. as Stryker says scarlet
letters stopped working because with planes, trains and automobiles, if people were being
shamed they just left and moved somewhere else. So we turn instead to public humiliation, an
organic form of social control that never went away completely, (Stryker 2.) The Scarlet Letter
written by Nathaniel Hawthorne depicts a woman pregnant out of wedlock and she gets branded
with a red A for adultery, a very clear case of public shaming and humiliation. Like Stryker discuss
scarlet letters just don t work anymore. If that happened today (even though it wouldn t) she
would just leave town and live somewhere else. So I do agree with Stryker that things like that are
a way of the past. Doxxing is the new world of public shaming and it s working. As seen in this
story from the Charlottesville riots in august. Logan Smith, the man behind the Twitter account
@YesYoureRacist, began posting photos of alleged white supremacist protesters in Charlottesville,
Virginia and gained over 300,000 followers in a single weekend, some of whom helped him expose
the identities of the protesters. One of the people Smith outed has since been fired
The Fda s Global Unique Device Identification Analysis
The FDA has established a unique device identification (UDI) database to enhance the
identification of medical devices from point of manufacture through delivery to the end user. This
guideline covers medical devices Classes I, II, and III (FDA 2014), where Class I poses the lowest
risk to patient and Class III carries the highest risk. When fully implemented, the label for the
majority of medical devices will contain a unique device identifier(UDI) in a human and machine
readable (barcode) form (FDA 2017). Medical devicecompanies operating under FDA guidelines
will be required to submit certain information about each device to the FDA s Global Unique
Device Identification Database (GUDID) (FDA 2014). In order to allow organizations... Show more

Problem Statement
Many companies have set forth action plans for UDI compliance, however, when they purchase the
Prisym ID solution, their personnel, from entry level through C level have not had exposure or
training on the PRISYM 360 software application and do not have sufficient knowledge of the
application as required to perform their job. They may have understanding of the guideline
requirements, but they do not yet know how to translate it into creating the actual label for market
medical devices.
Problem Background and Causes
The FDA developed UDI in order to better track medical devices manufactured in the United States.
It was signed into law on Septebmer 27, 2007 as a part of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
Amendments of 2007 (FDA, 2007). The law is recognized as a significant addition to overall
FDA authority, and as a result medical devices companies must implement the guidance to
maintain compliance with U.S. FDA, or be ordered to cease all operations. The organizations
must prepare and train personnel relative to the production labeling process in order to ensure
product being sold is in compliance. Because the employees are not yet trained on the proper
usage is a concern to the company if they are to meet the deadline for total compliance. The
deadline as set forth by the FDA is a phased in schedule between 2014 2020. The PRISYM 360
solution is UDI compliant, and the instruction will allow the organizations employees to
Measuring The Load Pattern Of Measuring A Minimum Of Two...
In some cases, lateral force shapes result to good approximation of demand displacements.
Nevertheless, there has not been found any constant loading for exact approximation of local
mechanisms and plastic hinges. Earthquake codes have made it mandatory to use a minimum of two
lateral load patterns in nonlinear static procedure. These two load patterns are chosen to cover
resulting forces in actual dynamic response of the structure. There are two load patterns which are
used mostly in usual studies: uniform and modal load pattern. When using uniform load pattern,
called also constant acceleration pattern, lateral forces applied to the structure are proportional to the
mass of the building stories. This load pattern emphasizes on bottom floors demands more than top
floor demands. It also increases the importance of shear in stories against overturning moment while
modal load pattern emphasizes overturning moment and story demands. The FEMA356 code allows
using comparative load pattern instead of constant load pattern. In this method the load pattern
varies by plastic hinges as the displacements in the structure increase. Obviously, none of these
shapes of constant loading can perform redistribution of inertia forces which occur with the first
local mechanism and change of dynamic properties of the structure. Therefore, it is interesting to
find a load shape which is closer to the variation of inertia forces distribution and gives a better
approximationof the behavior of

Jewish Holidays
Passover: 15th of Nisan (spring, March April)
The Passover in Hebrew is known as Pesach. It begins in the Sunset of Monday, April 10, 2017, and
ends at the nightfall of Tuesday, April 18, 2017. The Pesach is depicted in the book of Exodus
12:23. It describes the day when God passed over Israelites. During the Passover, the Israelites
usually celebrate their Liberation from the Egyptian bondage. This is when God delivered them
from slavery in Egypt. The Passover is also considered to be one of the most theologically
important holidays in the Jewish calendar. It normally goes for eight days but in other
communities, it lasts for only one week. The Jews are prohibited to eat any bread or leavened food.

Sweet foods like apple and honey are taken during this period. The main activities comprise the
sounding of the Shofar, ram s horn (Hexham, 89). The Jewish also utilize the period to mend
broken relationships and apologies for the mistakes made during the period year. It is symbolized
by the Ram s horn, apple, and wine. The Rosh Hashana marks a period of repentance that leads to
Yom Kippur (Olitzky et al. 137).
Yom Kippur: Day of Atonement
Yom Kippur is a Hebrew name meaning the Day of Atonement. It is the holiest days in the Jewish
Calendars that marks a day of fasting, prayer, and collective confession. It begins in the sunset of

William Shakespeare s The Literary Cannon
Year 10 pre IB English
Unit: Masters in Pieces
Part B: Tomos Gardiner
Why is the original text counted as part of the literary cannon?
The reason why Sonnet 130 is a part of the literary cannon is because the Sonnets introduce a very
strict system needed to follow to even be considered a sonnet. All of Williams Shakespeare s pieces
are incredible but the Sonnets are special. All the Sonnets have to follow a strict set of rules this
includes being fourteen line long and follow an ABABCDCDEFEFGG rhyme system. The
creation of one of these Sonnets would be a challenge however Shakespeare developed 154 of
them and so there are 2156 lines. This just goes to show the commitment and creativity of
William Shakespeare. Each Sonnet also has a Problem or Issue for the first eight stanzas then
Opinion on the Problem for stanza nine to twelve and finally a Resolution for the last two
stanzas. The Problem or Issue is that this Mistress is not the ideal woman. The Opinion on the
Problem is the He (The man describing the mistress does not know the ideal woman. Lastly, the
Resolution can be seen to be that He loves besides of all these flaws or he is saying she will do .
This is why Sonnet 130 is part of literary canon because of the meaning and the strict structure that
has to be followed making it very hard to create this Sonnet.
What is the possible authorial intention in the original text?
The possible authorial intention in Sonnet 130 could be seen as very sweet
The Rise Of Pop Art
In the 1940s the United States and the allies were in the midst of a deadly war against their Nazi
German counterparts, World War II officially ended in 1945 and the Allies were victorious. In the
early 1950s the post war economic boom in both the United States of America and Great Britain,
gave the people optimism and money to spend as the super markets were filled with all kinds of
consumer goods . The economy was good and people were happy.
Capitalizing on the post war economic boom of the 1950s were advertisers. Advertising persuaded
many, it told people what was popular, what was good, and what to buy. Advertising and glossy
magazines were found everywhere, in the street, the highway, and even at the comfort of your own
house as you opened the newspaper. This mass marketing phenomenon was incorporated with the
rise of Pop Art. It paved the way for iconic artist such as Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns .
With the rise of this bona fide American phenomenon also brought critics. Critics asked and
wondered how a can of soup or a soft drink could be considered art. Pop artist, Andy Warhol
responded by stating, Art is what you can get away with. What made pop art popular? It was brash,
transient, witty, hostile, young, mass produced, and most importantly it was low cost .
Pop art was the new art movement of the 1950s and 1960s, it was the successor of the art
movement of a decade earlier. In the 1940s abstract expressionism was all the rage in the United
States, it was
Maintaining A System For Ease
Too often we become caught up in the doing of every day life and we forget that it is meant to be
enjoyed. Establishing a system for ease will help you to put the fun back into your life. The
following are five systems that are all geared towards helping you live your life with a lot more
energy and productivity on a daily basis. 1) Establish a system for efficiency. Your time is
precious. Time is the only thing in the world that all people have exactly the same amount of
every day. How you choose to spend your time is entirely up to you but wouldn t you prefer to
spend it on things that are meaningful to you, things that fill you with satisfaction, that add value
to your life, that make you feel fulfilled? If time were money, would you be spending it on some
of the things that you currently do every day or would you invest it more wisely? The key to
getting greater results from your time is effective planning. When faced with a set of tasks most
people will dive straight in and start performing the most urgent tasks first, without any planning.
Working like this continually results in you becoming very busy and working very hard at
chasing your own tail. You can only keep this up for so long before you create dis ease in your
life. The key is to learn how to work smarter, not harder. When it comes to planning your time, the
most important skill is knowing how to prioritise. By identifying your real priorities you will
achieve more. Deliberately focus 80 percent of your

When I was younger I had to go to a different school in a different town with kids I have never met

and their different playing styles. Playing travel baseball helped me to overcome my fear of
traveling away from home. Competing in tournaments hosted in different states like New York,
North Carolina, and Virginia provided me the opportunity to experience what college life would
