Trainee – Export

Training Description:
Project Exports Promotion Council of India(PEPC) is an Export Promotion Council for Construction
Goods & Services companies undertaking projects overseas. As an apex co-ordinating agency for
Project Exports from India, the Council takes up issues & suggestions concerning Project Exports with
concerned stakeholders such as Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of External Affairs, DGFT,
EXIM Bank, ECGC etc. The Council also co-ordinates with India Missions overseas, Foreign Missions in
India, Overseas Project agencies, local and foreign trade bodies for collating information on
developmental plans of foreign Governments, projects, tenders etc. for dissemination to member
companies.

The trainees will have exposure to international trade environment that will allow them to learn and
get excellent experience at the Council. For the purpose of training, the selected candidates will take
up support role in areas such as event management, relationship with member companies, business
reporting and social media communications. Being part of a team would provide good opportunity
to put into practice and broaden their business and communication skills. At the moment we are
looking for two candidates: Trainee – Research & Trainee – Export.

Main duties and responsibilities for Trainee – Export:

 Provide support in the delivery of services to Indian Project Exporters (co-ordination for
membership, participation in events, gathering inputs, cold calling etc.);
 Provide support for managing social media accounts and updating digital content;
 Uploading events data on compliance portals
 Support with financial tasks and procurement

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:


 Degree in Commerce\Business Administration\ Marketing
 Proficiency in written and spoken English
 High level of motivation and willingness to learn technical aspects\concepts of construction
required during normal course of work;
 Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative when required;
 Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point);
 Ability to collate data on companies specializing in product/services
 Ability to shortlist potential member companies and approach them for membership
 Able to work under pressure and to juggle competing deadlines
 Good knowledge of social media channels, mainly Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Desirable skills

 exposure in Marketing/Business Development assignments and additional IT competencies.


MBA/B.Tech/Post Graduates will be preferred.

Other conditions of training:
This is trainee placement for the duration of 6 months and could be further enhanced to one year
after assessment.
The trainee would be engaged on full time basis and would not be allowed to take up any additional
part time job or activity.
The trainee, if found competent, may have opportunity to be absorbed permanently after
assessment by competent authority.
