Animal Testing

For : Have you ever thought about why we still use animal testing?

Do you want your body to be injected with unapproved medicines, which can put their life at risk?

We always think that animal testing is bad and it should be banned. But, there are advantages of animal
testing, so instead of thinking that animal testing is bad why not consider or check the bright side or the
benefits of it?

“Animal research and testing has played part in almost every medical discovery of the last century. It has
saved over 100 million people.” By Joan Ryan

Animal testing has several benefits, such as It helps us learn about diseases, it also helps with developing
medication and it ensures if treatments or medicines are safe.

But, how does it ensure if treatments or medicines are safe? Well, that’s what animal testing basically is.
We test the medication on animals first to make sure it works properly or if it even does anything. If it
does work, then we would use that as medicines for us humans.

How does it help us learn about diseases? Animal testing helps us understand diseases by studying how
they affect animals. By observing the symptoms of diseases in animals. It also helps us on figuring out on
how diseases affect genes too.

How does it help us develop medications? Animal testing helps develop medications by testing different
medications/medicines on animals to see if they're safe and effective before trying them on humans.
This process ensures that medications are safe for human use and helps researchers find new
treatments for diseases.

Against : Is it right to harm animals just for the sake of science or human advancement?

There are several reasons on why animal testing is not right and why it shouldn’t be allowed. Many
people say animal testing can be useful but it also has some disadvantages which can be really bad.

Animal testing also raises some concerns with humans because using animals for finding medications or
ways to cure a disease might not always work on humans even though it’ll work on animals, this is
because there are differences between us and animals.
